In fact, after 1 day, the 4 x 5 Medihoney dressing stuck to my leg. In spite of making a saline irrigation attempt, the wound care nurse was unable to remove it. Our goal was to determine if the Medihoney dressing would detach by and by wet-dry gauze dressing every 6 hours. This was not the case. During a visit to the surgeon's office, I had to be given local anesthesia after receiving sharp debridement. I don't think so. This is why Medihoney dressings do not need to be recommended.
In my experience, patients prefer the gel to the paste. They say the paste is "grainy," which is not good for healing balms.
