Presenting a product in a misleading manner
3/5

There's nothing more to it than benadryl topical. I am satisfied with the products. Intent to mislead is evident in the advertising and name. There are lots of good reviews for this product, but I think that's because most people are comparing it to Calamine Lotion and using it as such. This topical anti-itch remedy contains a common ingredient called calamine. You can apply it to itch-prone areas or scratch & itch / scratch & scratch it away. It usually has a pink color and is relatively benign. There is an intention for this product to be called Calagel. In an effort to add name recognition to Calamine Lotion and other Caladryl Brands (such as Nevertheless, Calagel contains not a single molecule of calamine In fact, it's the generic form of Benadryl In addition, it is also widely available and effective, however it has a much They think this is calamine lotion when they see it in the bathroom. Utilize it to the fullest extent possible In fact, taking Benadryl orally after taking it is actually dangerous to use, since it isn't as safe as using it without knowing it can be. It seems that the company is willing to risk your health to try and ride on the success of a completely different kind of medicine in a misleading name. That is awful. You can buy another generic brand of Benadryl topical gel, or you can buy Benedryl gel brand name. You should use this product at your own risk since it is a scam.

WORKS like a charm
5/5

It is impossible for me to get relief from cortisone/hydrocortisone since I am allergic to both. Since I was a child, I have been stung almost every year by poison ivy. A doctor told me I was allergic to the shot and so I wasn't allowed to have There is some real value in this stuff. This book is well worth its price tag in many ways. If it had not been for it, I would have been unable to cope with my last bout. It was so painful and itchy on my skin that I was crying. Having poison ivy for a month can be compared to gliding through it. When I found this, it arrived within 2 days, and I avoided being ill. Since I would have to keep this stuff on for so long, going to the bathroom hurt too much, so I just used wet wipes to clean my wounds one by one before finally putting this stuff on. I went through a horrible time that no one would ever wish on themselves, but this gel helped my suffering. Itchy poison ivy can be excruciating here in the US. If you're like me and scared of poison ivy, you'll do anything to alleviate You should at least try this, it's a definite no-brainer.

Itching is not relieved by this product
3/5

It is not easy to find a product that is as effective AND as easy to apply as the Tecnu medicated antibacterial gel This anti-itch spray is approved by the TECNU By using itchy gel. It brings me a lot of relief and lasts for more than five hours after use. I didn't think the gel would give me this much relief considering it is marketed as "maximum strength. ".

Using this product on poison oak or poison ivy is a bad idea! There is a possibility that it will aggravate A 10% solution of Diphenhydramine HCI is used in this product
3/5

There is an anti-virus in it The only thing you should ever use is topical antihistamines It is not advised to use histamine or antihistamine products with poison oak or poison ivy rashes as this might worsen the problem. If you are interested in searching it, feel free to do so. During a recent poison ivy episode, I used the product about two weeks after my rash began to improve, and it grew worse just as it started to improve. You may want to check WebMD. You can find more information about this product at www. eMedicine. com or any other reputable medical site. It might be appropriate for sunburns and other symptoms of skin irritation without causing strong allergic responses. Poison ivy and poison oak are NOT poisonous! For those who are confused, here are some helpful hints There is a topical antiseptic Taking an antihistamine is NOT the same thing as taking an oral antihistamine Your comment on my review contains incorrect information about histamine, therefore refrain from doing so.

The best thing that has ever happened to me
5/5

so I came down with one of the worst cases of shingles my doctor had ever seen in mid-January. As a result of their infection, I had pus in my left ear, and the pain has been excruciating. There is extensive damage to my nerves beginning in front of my left ear, wound along the side of my neck, and ending You have to face a brutal reality, Shingrix is the only thing that allows me to get sufficient sleep if I had chicken pox as a child.
If you had chicken pox as a child, please get the vaccine. The pain in my ear is unbearable, I have a lot of sneezing, and I get zaps of electricity in my neck. I've been told it could take six months for things to As I rub this gel in my inflamed ear, I feel relief from the shocks, and the numbing effect soothes the shocks. It is indispensable to keep it in your pocket at all times. A little on your fingers will go a long way, and a bottle will last you Any area that itch or hurts can be treated with it. Besides burns, insects can also cause stings and Use of hydrocortisone creams should be avoided About five days after you start taking them, your skin starts to thin out. The gel has been so beneficial to me.

CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR IF YOU TAKE BENADRYL with this medication
3/5

It is possible to overdose on this drug! The name of this product is very misleading, as stated in just one other review among the many available It is actually topical Benadryl and cannot be taken together with Benadryl that is taken orally, at the risk of having serious side effects. The calamine lotion appeared online after I searched Amazon for "calamine lotion. " I bought the product. Naturally, I assumed it was calamine lotion because it has a name that sounds like it. My fault for not reading the bottle's back, The name is misleading as hell and I'm sure I'm not the only one who finds it misleading. The poison ivy on my arms was treated with a small amount of cream this evening after which I decided to take one single Benadryl tablet (25 mg) about two hours later to go to sleep and not wake up itching. Seeing over the back of the bottle just happened to catch my attention. I was about to apply more of it before bed. I am so glad that it says not to combine this with Benadryl, but with anxiety that I often experience, I also went into full blown panic mode and contacted This mistake is indeed rather misleading, and this very kind pharmacist on the phone explained it is done often by people. Given the spacing between doses and the fact that neither dose was particularly large, she says I should be fine, but it is still extremely unnerving, especially if I have anxiety issues. She suggests I call her again if I experience a high temperature, confusion, or increased It is NOT calamine lotion, as the product name would lead one to believe. I plan to contact Tecnu on Monday and tell them that they must change this misleading name. I wish I could add this review as a disclaimer when people search for and consider buying this product.
