A product purchased in 2020 listed baking soda as the active ingredient with no mention of ammonia in the ingredient list.
In the ingredients list, you will not find baking soda. All that is listed is ammonia and natural oils.
My product did not contain ammonia when I purchased it almost 6 years ago.
I have tried it on all kinds of things and it has stopped my itching and discomfort on all of them. In addition to treating bed bug bites, I think it would be beneficial.

I had to deal with a particularly vile bug that bit my fingernail the other night. The bite was so itchy, I kept scratching at it, which made me decide to try the After Bite. At first, it did help, but not as much as I would have liked, so I almost gave it a four-star rating. Although the itching stopped after a while, it didn't go away immediately. Just took me a little longer than I originally anticipated, but it worked out in the end. In addition to the applicator, it is also important to mention. My finger didn't drip any product when I first applied it, so I couldn't tell any product was coming out. Because The After Bite is clear, it may not be easy to notice it applied to bites, and too much can be applied accidentally. I did have an easy time coming up with it, this is a good product and a good value for the money.
It does work a little, but other remedies are more effective in easing itch. A bit of a smell persists for a short time (this fades quickly). The active ingredient is 5% baking soda.
