My previous response to this question was that the material is thick, creamy, but not grainy at all. This product has never caused me to experience graininess. I have used it in a few tubes.

My orders for this product have been in packs of 3 many times. purchased the 5 pack set because it was a great price. However, when I opened and applied the first tube to my elderly mother, it was extremely grainy and left a grainy residue. A date on the tube was not found, so I couldn't figure out how old it was. It could not be grainy, but I still had some cream left from a previous order. It would be nice to know the difference between the two. In terms of using it on my mother's private area, I'm rather sceptical even though it is secure. It is the first time I've bought from this seller.
This cream has been used as diaper rash cream for my four children since we brought them home. I have been using this product for 5 years with 3 kids and have always loved it. However, the last batch of tubes I received was grainy in texture. There is a grainy consistency in two of the five bottles which I have opened. If the definition has changed, I wonder if that is the case.
