It used to react to heat, water, detergents, soaps, and moisturizers before that. was the cause of a continuous recurring cycle of bumpy fissures leading to cracked open In regards to my skin, it created a nice moisturizing barrier that kept it dry and allowed it to heal faster. It was not irritating to my skin either. People with dry skin and sensitive skin will enjoy this product so much. Burns can also be treated with it. This is a highly recommended book.
