I went to use this eyewash solution at a chemical feed room eyewash station and discovered it had been expired for more than TWO YEARS. I can't use an expired solution at work because it's against the law. BUYER BEWARE: I failed to meet the return deadline. Check expiration dates to avoid being taken advantage of like we were.
The bottle that was delivered was not the same as the one shown in the picture. They are precariously balanced in the holders, and I expect to find them on the floor first thing in the morning if the building shakes. I'll keep them as long as they stay put and don't fall, and I assume the water is sterile, but I'm starting to worry.
I've purchased a total of 20 of these for various uses. It's simple to assemble and contains all of the necessary components. I do have one piece of advice for you: It would be great if the back had a flat surface so I could stick it to the wall with adhesive. Because the back of everything is contoured, you won't be able to use adhesive effectively.
In April of 2020, purchase the same products. Item was delivered with a 12/2021 expiration date. It's time to reorder in order to remain OSHA compliant. In August of 2021, an order was placed. I received my order in a timely manner. br>I opened the product yesterday to replace the one I had previously. Expires on 12/2021, the same date as the product purchased 18 months ago. br>I couldn't see the expiration date until I opened the product completely to prepare it for assembly and wall mounting. br>It's too late now to go back. Garbage.
The price is reasonable. I was thinking about how I'd put the green plastic station together. To check it out, I placed the bottle in the cradle and hung it on the wall. One of the bottles had broken free. Both of them eventually split up. It continued to do so until I noticed that the plastic cradle's top and bottom had hairline cracks in them. These bottles are quite heavy, and the holder isn't up to the task of supporting them. I had to give them back.
It's fine to check the box during an OSHA inspection if you're going to hang it on the wall and tell no one not to touch it. I needed something that I could use in a pinch. The eye wash bottle was used by an employee, and I discovered that there are NO REPLACEMENT bottles! We'd have to start from scratch and purchase all new equipment. I contacted the manufacturer, but they were unable to provide any assistance.
They included mounting hardware (screws and wall anchors) as well as a great value with a long shelf life. I didn't have to go to the hardware store to get it, which was a pleasant surprise. That's a great idea!.
The unit is simple to put together. In our shop, it works perfectly. The color green is pleasing to the eye.
