When I travel (snoring travel partner, noisy hotel room, airplane, etc. ), I use them to cancel out noise. The mints also last. I like the size. It muffles noise quite well. The oversized clear ones actually suit me better than the regular-sized clear ones for sleeping. Although I'm an adult, my ears still seem to be small and sensitive. As for the size, I have found these to be perfect As opposed to the clear ones, these orange ones (instead of the clear ones) are easier to find in the sheets when I remove them while I am asleep. It's all I have at the moment It is 15 feet from the apartment pools at my home and I use these a lot to muffle the noise outside. Sometimes I use them with my Sony noise-cancelling headphones to muffle the outside noise when I do not want to listen to.

I use them for my one year old who has tubes in his ears. As a result of the pressure required to spread them across his ear surface, he fusses a bit when they're put in, but he doesn't seem to notice once they're in. It's not a big deal, but if we forget to put them in right away and there's any moisture on my fingers or in his ear, they won't stay in. Everything must be completely dry before they can do their job. In any event, that's just user error as the product itself does exactly what we expect it to do. We can even re-use the plugs twice or three times.
