From 3M's product information, it is stated that its large choice is ideal for people with wide ear canals. The actual diameter of these earplugs is considerably smaller than the classic 3M earplugs as shown in the photo (see below). There is no point to them at all Despite the fact that my ear canal wasn't filled, I could hear everything.
These are quite soft and easy to insert. However, they are not good for motorcycle riders. In a helmet that covers the entire face, wind noise can exceed 100dB at highway speeds. A dB of -106 is applied across all frequencies from 125Hz to Despite the fact that it is made of plastic, this ear plug does not block low frequencies well (see attenuation chart attached). The highway may have sounded quiet (which it did), but I still had ringing in my ears after riding on it. Those motorcyclists who ride should use an ear plug with attenuation that is good across various In the end, the ringing in my ears stopped when I bought a different brand that had a 40dB attenuation across the board.
Considering I use these ear plugs for lawn work and going to the gun range, I get about 18 to 24 months' use out of a 200 pair box. A new box was purchased recently and when I opened it, the ear plugs were no longer as good as they used to be. My experience is that I was unable to insert them more than once. It is possible that 3M changed the material properties intentionally, or that my batch was defective. Sometimes I temporarily remove one or both of the plugs, such as when I take a break, bring up a conversation, or stop between shooting sessions, and then I replace them The last box of plugs I inserted I could not insert more than once because, no matter how hard or long I rolled them, they would immediately spread before I could get them fully back in my ears. They were also too soft for a little extra push to help them get My call was to 3M, and I spoke with Sam, who informed me that it was a quality issue, and that I would be transferred to the appropriate The automated system hung up on me after he transferred me due to the fact that I did not have an extension. When I called him back, he took my number off the list and promised to get in touch with me later. The callback still hadn't arrived after a week, so I tried the web chat feature on the 3M website at which point I was basically blown off by the representative telling me to call the same number I had called earlier. That was the moment that I opted to get a replacement box from I was able to use the plugs in the replacement box just fine. A lot number of 15 seems to be associated with the bad ones The time is 745 on July 23, 2016. Here is the new replacement box There has been no success in the latest 2016 batches, so it appears that they are either poorly formulated or improperly manufactured.

This product is wonderful. You can use it for all sorts of activities, such as shooting and cutting grass. These are much better than ear muffs for providing hearing protection. You want to roll them tightly, twist them slightly as you insert fully, and hold them for a few seconds as the ear canal is sealed. The shoes are comfortable and I can wear them for hours at a time. The downside to this type of protection is that it cannot be removed and replaced in case, for example, you need to unplug for a few minutes for a conversation. In most cases, I strongly recommend you not reuse them. There is no point in risking contamination getting into the ear canal when they are so cheap.
I like these foam ear plugs very much because they are easy to use and they do the job. Snoring is a habit of my wife. I do not do it all the time, but occasionally, at least a couple times a week. I liked the fact that they were very soft and they expanded to fill the ear canal, so my wife's snoring was These ear plugs are also very soft, so their presence doesn't bother me at all while sleeping. I appreciate the fact that, while they block out snoring sounds, they don't block out the sound of my phone or alarm clock, and that's great. I consider these ear plugs to be the saving grace of At least that kept me from having to move to the couch in the family room to catch up on.
