First off, let me say that I was puzzled by how people say they love someone and tell them they are worthless at the same time. Having now learned the reason, I am glad. One of these came to me and I put it in my left ear and it slid right into place after it slid in. The noise was blocked out and I couldn't hear my wife talking to me (although that is a good thing in my book). After that, I put the other one in my right ear and what do you think happened? I was able to slide the plug into my left ear without any trouble, however, the right ear would not accept it. Now here I am, my left ear is totally blocked and my right ear is so quiet that it's like I'm not even hearing it. I then had my wife take a look at it and she was able to get the right one into my ear, but it soon worked its way out. There was just a sense that it didn't want to go and it hurt when it was There had been a 20 minute wait on the left ear before it was able to be removed. It took me a while to decide whether or not anybody would be interested in seeing my ear canals so I took photos using a small bore scope. That's so funny. As such, I leave my rating at 5 stars, but I do caution that it depends on what works for you. I found the one I put in my ear canal to be really comfortable and completely blocked out the sound.
