Is there a limit to the number of syringes this container can ?

The first injection I gave was on September 1, and I continued to give it until December. About 200 syringes are involved. Almost all of the contents of the box were present.

Is it possible to drop it off at a local pharmacy or does it have to go to a facility to be disposed of?

Depending on where you live, there may be legal restrictions. The tab has to be pushed over to lock it in place once it is full, but in my area, I can throw it in my regular trash after it is full.

Neither 8 qt nor 8 qt. It takes two gallons to make eight quarts. This is not a 8 quart set. There are not 7 gallons like they advertise, there are 7 quarts. A gallon of liquid is equal to 8 quarts.
