My kids have been suffering from so much mucus overnight that this helped tremendously! Their mucus was so thick that they were choking and gagging when they woke up. They were able to spit the mucus out easier and not gag because the syrup thinned it out.

As soon as they changed the formula and added the grape flavor, it appears that it no longer works For my 11-year-old daughter, I have given this product since she was 2 and it was MUCH better back then. The reason I keep buying it is that she's used to having it when she's sick and expects it to be there for her. The medicine doesn't make her cold worse or last any longer than it usually does, but it's definitely less effective now than it was before. As for the liquid itself, it is on the watery side, rather than the honey or actual syrup consistency that it once was. In addition, she doesn't like the grape flavor at all. We had trouble getting the younger one to take it (as well as my nieces and nephews) because of the taste, but the old formula was more neutral and sweet without much of a taste.

I was at Kroger, and probably also desperate for something that I could give to toddlers younger than 2 (this stuff is safe for toddlers younger than 2 years old). However, it works! Thanks for the great product! It is great. I bought it at least five times in the past few years in the store. It's no longer available in any of my local stores, and to my surprise, I found it on Amazon for more than half the price I was paying before. It took me two bottles to finish the bottle. The stuff I need is too important for me to be without it. My family feels so good knowing we are giving my boys something natural and I feel smart about letting my desperate purchase end up doing so much good.
