Despite my efforts, this piece does not meet my expectations. As soon as I received it, it was very tarnished, so I had to order a special cloth (from amazon) to remove the tarnish and make it presentable enough to give to my husband for our 50th In order to get rid of the tarnish, I had to spend a lot of time and effort. In my opinion, the quality of the craftsmanship should have been better for the price. The trouble isn't worth the effort.

I picked this up for my nephew who is entering boot camp for the Air Force we gave this to him at his going-away party. I was there during the away celebration and there was not a dry eye in the room. A very heavy duty and excellent performance. Although it is an attractive piece, the arrow inside the compass is bent and you did not engrave all the letters. Our wedding date and our names were engraved on the plaque that you missed. The items mentioned above were the most important in a wedding gift for a 20th anniversary! The wrong thing to do!.
