Instead, try using craft glue. I've purchased pepakura kits from three different sellers, and this was my favorite to put together, with a few exceptions. The design is comparable to that of any other kitbr>br>Cons: 1. br>br> The directions acknowledge this and recommend using superglue for a stronger bond, but superglue comes with its own set of issues. First and foremost, unless you use an accelerant, it takes _forever_ to harden, which isn't good to breathe in or get on your skin. Second, if you get it anywhere where it can be seen, it will definitely stain the paper. It is, however, unquestionably the most powerful reasonable option, so if you go for it, get the thickest material you can. I like to use a craft glue of some sort - Aleene's or a comparable store - Although it is not as strong as superglue, it dries much faster and does not stain. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br The kit is constructed of bog-standard paper. Cardstock that is standard. It's not bad, but in comparison to the other kits, it looks a little plain. br>br>Overall, I believe this was a wise investment.
I had a great time with the wolf! The instructions were simple to follow, and the tape helped to keep the folds in place. The only minor gripe I have is that the numbers along the edges are difficult to read.
but difficult to understand. Due to the elephant's delicate nature, we had to rebuild it with superglue in the end. It appeals to me.
I took my time and finished it over the course of several days. Preparing and folding the pieces should be done slowly and carefully. I recommend folding the connecting flaps first and applying the tape before assembling the pieces at each step. If the double-sided tape came in a dispenser with no backing, that would be an improvement. Although removing the backing with the included tape can be a pain, it does the job.
