Conditioner bars are so much fun to use, and this one smells wonderful as well. Since trying this at the same time as one of Lush's shampoo bars, my hair stays grease free for up to three days between washes (not sure which product is responsible for this, but I'm going to believe both of them). As this is my first time using a conditioner bar, I wasn't expecting it to feel like nothing was happening when your hair is rubbed with it. The only thing I have learned is that I have to trust that something will happen. However, as a result, I end up using too much so I don't have to. In spite of that, the bar is only a third of the way there after just This would be a good option for anyone wishing to cut back their single usage The plastic in this package is biodegradable, as stated in the description, so we can ignore some other comments. This product now comes in a cardboard container. It does come wrapped in plastic, but it's biodegradable as stated in the description.
This conditioner bar is nothing out of the ordinary, but one of the reasons I bought it rather than a bottle at the local grocery store was to reduce my plastic waste. But this thing was wrapped in three plastic film pieces! As well as the Amazon packaging, there are layers of plastic. There was a plastic bag covering the metal tin. Plastic wrap was used to seal the tin, and then the actual bar was wrapped in plastic inside. In that case, I- This is vital!.
As far as I am concerned, this conditioner bar is wonderful. My hair was soaking up the conditioner from another bar conditioner that I had to scrub on my head a lot in order to apply it to it. This bar allows me to do that without having to move. Just a few swipes of the head and I'm good to go. My fingers slowly running through my hair after I get out of the shower can detangle it. After applying the other conditioner brand, my head would be itchy for hours afterwards. After using this conditioner bar, it is no longer itchy at all. This product is wonderful, so much so that I am going to get the same bar shampoo to use with it as well.
After switching from plastic bottles to bars in August 2019, I no longer use plastic bottles. Before writing my review of this product, I used it for three months. We'll start by talking about the packaging, it was wrapped in plastic, which was disappointing. Furthermore, the tin does rust, and the product itself was too oily to use as a regular conditioner or detangler. The first two months, I only used it once a month, but had to switch to once every two months- The three weeks are up. I really like it as a scalp moisturizer, but it does not work well as a detangling product.
For a full list of ingredients and to decide if it is right for you, see the photo. If the first ingredient in a product is toxic, I feel misled into buying it as organic. Packaging and the fact that the product is made in New York are both good points.
There is nothing like the feel of my hair. The only problem is that since I have a lot of thick hair, I always have to use a lot of product to cover it all. I found this bar conditioner to be easy to use and was able to untangle my hair with it. So far, I've used it just once, but I'm already in love with Although one thing to be aware of is that I purchased this to reduce my plastic consumption, and the packaging was full of plastic ( Purchase would have undone any good it would have done. Although perhaps the brand as a whole and Amazon as a whole could do better to reduce their waste, the product by itself works and smells wonderful.
My hair is dry and curly, and I have used conditioner bars before and I can say this one is the best. In addition to smelling great, I feel my hair is soft after using this product. The only problem I have is that the tin does not resist rust, the seams and corners have rusted, and I am afraid to close the lid entirely for fear of it rusting.
