I haven't yet tried the bar, so this review is strictly about the packaging. Order the bar separately if you're interested! I'm sure they were stained, since I ordered this with hair ties and they had melted all over them due to the heat. Even though the smell is wonderful, it is disappointing that half of the product melted. As far as I can tell, the only way to scrape the product off the packaging is to put it in the fridge to get it hard again. My next order is definitely going to be ordered by itself so it doesn't get packaged up with other items. Although I like the idea of using less packaging, it should not occur at the expense of a lower quality product arriving at its destination. Here are the latest updates on this review. I wanted to wait until the bar had been used for a while before giving it a review. It's great to have a conditioner bar like this. There's an earthy scent of lavender chocolate to it. Those who aren't fond of strong scents may not like this. For example, my daughter in law is not fond of the scent, but I am. In terms of how well it works for softening our hair and leaving it silky and clean, we are both very pleased. It's a very happy day for me. One thing I would like to change would be to increase the bar size.
It's amazing how wonderful this conditioner is! With this conditioner bar, I was able to tame my thick curly hair! Since most conditioners that cost $$$$ can't handle my hair, I was shocked. It is a product I will definitely buy again.
Aside from one thing, I wish there was more patchouli in this, this appears to be a great conditioner. My hair is waist length and curly, and I've been graying and thinning, so a good conditioner is a must. I would like to know what the answer is. I balked at the price at first, but learned I could get the equivalent of three bottles of my normal conditioner for the price of its equivalent. There are still more than two thirds of the bottles left on the bar and I'm closing in on the first bottle. In other words, less waste, happy hair, and happy women. Despite bleaching my hair long and bleaching it platinum blonde, my hair is dry and thirsty. As a result of using this product, my hair is soft and shiny. Though I thought a bar conditioner wouldn't have cut it, it would have been hard to stand seeing aisles of plastic bottles at a store that would eventually end up in landfills or the ocean. This was what I thought was a compromise. NO, THAT WAS NOT IT! The product I am using now is better than the products I have bought in stores in the past.

The conditioner is not too harsh but not without impact. I used this conditioner because I only have one hand to get wet after having surgery on my thumb. I was blown away by the results! There is a wonderful scent to it, not too subtle but not too overpowering either, and my hair feels smooth without being weighed down it does not look frizzy at all, which is a problem I sometimes have even with higher-end products. Conditioners that are reasonably priced. One of the benefits is the decreased use of plastic. Even when I can use two hands again it will be a keeper.
