These were purchased as a gift for my mother. They're similar to chewing glass, according to her. Sorry for the bad review; she claims they're as hard as peanuts. I'm just being honest, and I'm not looking for a refund. The food was purchased because getting bananas is becoming more difficult due to the virus situation. I told her to soak them in water and microwave them. Giving three stars because soaking and eating a banana is certainly preferable to nothing.
I'm glad I ordered the large packs first because I wouldn't have known how they usually taste. br>These smaller packsbr>1) have the equivalent of a bite in each packbr>2) lack the crunchiness of the larger pack. Why is that? I'm not sure. They have a chewy texture and aren't particularly tasty. br>br>Do yourself a favor and order the larger packages; they're wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.
I bought the same item from a different retailer. My order arrived today, and the bananas were not at all crunchy. It had a rubbery feel to it. It's unclear whether the product was exposed to the elements. These banana chips, on the other hand, aren't particularly crunchy. I'm disappointed and dissatisfied because I was looking forward to these snacks because they're usually delicious and crunchy.
The chips are hard, dry, and have sharp edges. The bananas taste like they're very green, so they're not particularly flavorful.
Banana chips that haven't been fried are fantastic. These tiny "snack" sized backs were horrible when bought in the larger bag size. The crumbs and dregs left over from processing the larger banana chips for the larger bags were tiny and hard. Make sure you don't throw your money away. Spend a little more money and get the big bags. The remainder of the small bags will most likely be discarded.
The calories are just right. Unlike waxy banana chips, these aren't waxy at all. These are light and refreshing.
Keep an eye on the package sizes you order. I expected the standard store bags (on the right), but instead received tiny snack bags (on the left).
