Questions & Answers

Is this product processed in the same facility as other tree nuts? I have a family member who is allergic to tree nuts, so knowing this is critical. ?

It's made in the same plant as peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, and soy, according to the package.

Is it possible that these hazelnuts came from Turkey?

Yes, they're from Turkey, but they're packaged in the United States. Make certain you're selecting "NUTS U.S.A." as the seller. "On Amazon, there are a slew of other sellers. com, but I've only had positive experiences with this seller.

Is it true that these have no skin (as the photo implies)? Blanched?

They do not have skin. There may be traces of skin on a few of them, but for the most part, they are skinless. They're fantastic for making homemade nutella.

Delicious and well-prepared Packaged well, arrived quickly, and was of good quality
5/5

Before ordering this product, I looked at all of the hazelnut options available and mistookly assumed I had ordered salted nuts, but as you can see here and on my package, I did not. Honestly, I didn't notice when eating the nuts; they're deliciously perfect and don't require salt. br>br>I chose these based on a review that said they came sealed in foil to keep them fresh, which they did. Also, they had a lot of good reviews, even if most of them were vague. br>br>I've always loved hazelnuts. I must admit that I never considered purchasing them all on my own, but since we can have anything we want thanks to Amazon's convenience, I decided to do so. I have no idea what Turkish Hazelnuts are and had no expectations, but I looked it up and this is really just another way of saying Hazelnuts because Turkey With demand growing around the world (especially in China) and these nuts being used to make products like Nutella, people like me are lucky to get our hands on any nuts that aren't in a product! In fact, one small town in Turkey produces almost all of these beauties, and if they have bad weather, the global crop suffers, as it did in 2013, and the price skyrockets. br>br>These Hazelnuts are delicious and dry roasted to perfection. All of the skins have been blanched (removed). Hazelnuts have a tendency to have the occasional bitter nut and I doubt any supplier can prevent that, but these are 98% sweet and delicious, according to my unscientific estimate. Personally, I don't miss the salt at all. They're fantastic. br>br>At $13, it's an excellent value. This appears to be a great deal at $ 43 per pound, including shipping. 84/oz. The cost of a deluxe bag of mixed nuts at Costco is $21. For a 2, the price is $49 Container weighing 5 pounds (plus, of course, your membership). The deluxe nuts are made up of nuts that are far less expensive-- 50% almonds percentage percentage percentage per $ is the price. 54/oz. By comparison, the price of pure hazelnuts does not appear to be prohibitive. br>br>For a highly specialized product, this is a great deal, and I'll definitely be ordering again. In fact, I believe I will place an order as soon as I finish this. (Note: I'm on my fourth bag at this point. I eat a very restricted diet, so these nuts provide a level of luxury that I wouldn't otherwise have. For me, the expense is justified.

I pity those who have never tasted hazelnuts! You're missing out if you haven't already
5/5

I've ordered and sampled every Hazelnut I could find. I grew up eating salt-roasted corn that was still in its thick, hard brown shell. I couldn't believe how genuine these were when I received them. The majority, if not all, of these hazelnuts are grown in a region of Turkey with ideal climate and geography. Nothing has the same flavor as everything else. Oregon, we apologize for the inconvenience. The sun and soil of the Black Sea hit your taste buds as soon as you begin to savor the sweet'ish, crunchy, naturally-occurring flavors. When these nuts hit your stomach and body, they will delight in the fat, protein, and fiber they contain. I pity those who have never tried these nuts, but I doubt you've never had Nutella or Ferrero Rocher chocolate. br>Don't worry if you bite into a few bad ones; the next one will quickly make you forget about the bad taste. Also, because most of the products on the market come from the same country, the best-tasting are those who get the crop, and it appears that US Nuts has done its homework.

It's not bad, but it has a "green" flavor to it
4/5

These weren't bad, but they did have a "green" flavor to them in my opinion. There is no discernible hazelnut taste. br>br>I'm glad they're not over-roasted, so I'm going to try roasting them myself to see if the flavor improves. These aren't the hazelnuts to buy if you want a good hazelnut flavor right out of the bag. br>br>After I try roasting them, I'll update my review.

I adore hazelnuts, but it appears that many others do not, as they can be difficult to come by in the supermarket
5/5

Fortunately, I came across NUTS U. which I just got a few minutes ago. The price was reasonable, the portion size was adequate, and the flavor was excellent. There's only one minor detail, and it's a personal one: the degree of roastedness (if that's even a word). Personally, I prefer them slightly more roasted, but that is something I can easily do myself, and yes, it is better to have them slightly less roasted because you can't un-roast them. After I've gone through the bag, I'm sure I'll order some more.

So far, everything has gone exceptionally well
5/5

They don't have the skins, which we like. So far, everything has gone exceptionally well. We think it's great that they don't have the skins on because it makes it so much more enjoyable! br>There are no issues; they're delicious and fresh. We're pleased with it and will purchase from them again when we run out.
PS. The ideal roasting in the oven, according to my research, is: br>Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and bake for 20 minutes. If you want dark brown nuts, put them on the top rack (not the 'broil' rack). If you want lighter ones, put them on the middle rack and bake for 20 minutes.

I ordered these Hazeluts for a special recipe, and they appeared to be very fresh and crunchy
5/5

These aren't really toasted/dry roasted, and they aren't salted either. They are suitable for baking and can be easily toasted. It's nice to have a reliable source of hazelnuts, as those purchased locally may have been sitting on the shelf for too long and are starting to go rancid. In general, I'm very happy with the results.

I bought these nuts to make homemade nutella with because they were delicious and fresh tasting
5/5

I did so, and it was inhaled by the kids! We also enjoy snacking on these right out of the bag. My 13- year- old has been bringing them to school in small packs for her lunches. We've eaten about a third of the 2-pound bag. I'm on my third pound of nuts and have yet to encounter a bad one. I'm sure I'll get more of these.

Surprisingly bitter, to say the least
3/5

I've only ever had hazelnuts in a Christmas mixed-fruit salad. I purchased these to ensure a steady supply of nut bags for GBBO "bakes. " " I was taken aback by their acrimony; The ones found in Christmas collections are usually quite lovely. Despite all of the sugar, I made a praline out of them, and they were still bitter. It's disappointing, but since I have them, I'll put them to good use.
