Questions & Answers
It's something I use when I bake. Because it is drier to the touch than almond flour, you may need to add some oil to make a butter out of it. As- Is it possible to make a gritty butter out of it? It would have to be finely ground to make it smooth.
It's raw filberts and kosher, but we're not affiliated with any kosher organizations at the moment.
Oregon is located in the United States.
It is gluten-free, of course.

I adore hazelnuts and happened to have a small bag of hazelnut meal in my pantry. When I looked up keto hazelnut recipes, I was pleasantly surprised by the number of options. When I ran out of what I had on hand, I went to Amazon and bought this product. I've used hazelnuts in a variety of recipes, and they're delicious. All of the recipes I've tried so far have turned out beautifully. If you like hazelnuts, this hazelnut meal/flour is for you.
The item was packaged in a sealed cardboard box when it arrived. I've previously purchased this brand of hazelnut flour and am satisfied with its quality and flavor. The product was packaged in a sealed cardboard box with a large thin plastic bag of hazelnut flour inside. My bag had a puncture, which I believe was caused by someone handling it before it was packaged. It reeked as if it had been exposed to air, which was to be expected. I'm going to keep it, but I believe they should use thicker bags to avoid this. Also, there is no nutritional information or an expiration date for this product, which means it could be very old flour.
My mom's special Christmas cookies were made with Hazelnut Flour. It was a lot easier than shelling and grinding the nuts myself.
The flour itself has a great flavor and texture, but the thin plastic bag that was tied with a twist tie disappointed me a little. When it arrived, the tie was almost undone, which would have caused the flour to spill into the shipping box. I was also unsure if I had received the full 5 lbs, so I used a kitchen scale, which revealed that I had received slightly less than the advertised and purchased price (roughly 4. 25 lbs). 89 lb).
It's starting to smell bad. I despise writing negative reviews, but I smell and taste something rancid. These are not something I intend to do in the near future.
This flour was used to make breads and desserts. We like to add a couple of tablespoons of this flour to our banana pancakes for variety.
