The rich, earthy scents of roasted hazelnuts enticed me to open it up minutes after it arrived, but - There was a tinge of something else in the background. I didn't pay it much attention at first because it had been so long since I'd had any hazelnuts, but when I put a small handful in my mouth and began chewing, I became aware of it. br>br>Yeah, it's bad. Only *some* of the nuts were old and rancid, as I mentioned in the title, but that's more than enough. It's not like you can eat your way through the bag, biting into each nut and hoping you don't throw up. This is the last time I'll buy this item.
This isn't new! Don't buy these hazelnuts; they aren't even close to being fresh. They are fast approaching their expiration date. There is a strong odor and a bad taste. br>br>It's been a bad experience!.
In fact, we have hazelnut trees in our backyard. So I can tell if it's still fresh. I'm so disappointed because this doesn't taste fresh at all. br>I wish I could get my money back, but it's not possible because I tasted it before opening the bag. (br>I'll try a different brand from one of the other sellers. ).
It's difficult to write a review because bulk size roasted hazelnuts are difficult to come by, but this was delivered on time and in good condition. The quality, on the other hand, was uneven: One or more nuts appeared to be spoiled or rancid in every handful of nuts. If you're using them for cooking, it's not a problem, but if you're snacking, it's a different story. But, despite the fact that it isn't so pleasant. I intend to place another order.
I was hoping to receive hazelnuts with the skin, which contains the majority of the nutrients, but instead received nude nuts!! It was my fault for not paying close enough attention. The fact that I only gave it two stars is not due to the manufacturer's fault.
Unfortunately, there aren't as many options for unsalted as there are for salted. "Kinda" misses the point when it comes to salted. These have been toasted/roasted, which adds to the flavor. I was also relieved to discover that they had a reasonable shelf life; my only criticism is the Nutrition Label. Serving size is listed as a dry weight, such as 1 ounce, on many products (including those from other manufacturers). Because many of us do not have access to a kitchen scale, an alternative serving size would be in Tablespoons, 1/4 cup, or 1/2 cup - It would be easier to keep track of portions that way. Thanks.
Then came Chippy, who had the ability to store 13 in his expandable cheeks. We're hand-feeding him, and as soon as his front paws finish squeezing the last nut in, he scampers away to offload and returns for more. We've reached the point where three bags will only last a week! If you add it all up, you'll come up with $180 per month. We're on the hook because it appears that cheaper peanuts are no longer acceptable.
Don't waste your money; I hoped it wouldn't happen to me, but I wasn't the only one who had this experience. It is not possible to exchange them. The expiration date has been removed, making it impossible to determine when they actually expired. What a swindle!.
