Soft and mealy, these nuts are a good choice for snacking. I ate about a dozen of them as soon as they arrived at 5:00 p. m. yesterday and immediately felt a burning sensation in my stomach. That was dismissed due to my impatience to eat them, which was accompanied by a coughing spell and a desire to vomit. After that, I had a bad case of diarrhea. My sense of smell has faded, but my roommate described them as old and musty. I was expecting fresh crunchy nuts with a distinct Filbert flavor; I'm not sure what was bothering me, but my reaction was quick after injesting them (?). This is a brand that I like, and the quality of their other products has always been good. I'm willing to pay a little more for some things, but not for filberts - Tasteless and mushy.

I've found that hazelnuts from the United States are the best. We made the mistake of purchasing Turkish hazelnuts from We Go Nuts, which were small and dry. Because hazelnuts are harvested in the middle to late summer, it's best to place your order then, or slightly later if hot shipping weather is an issue. Hazelnuts contain a lot of healthy, delicious fats, so keep them cool and sealed, or store them in the refrigerator. Also, there aren't many 5 pound bags left, so they may not be the freshest and have received poor reviews, but it's a better deal, and they're probably fine. Thank you, Anna. When I received these stale, I was extremely disappointed. It has no flavor. Hazelnuts that have gone bad. Anna's products are also on my wish list. Sarah, like the rest of the crew, has always been very fresh and tasty. My body quickly rejected it after the first bite. I'm a complete nut. It's all about nuts. They were roasted by me. I kept them in the refrigerator. However, I ended up tossing the entire bag in the trash.

I finally discovered good, fresh filberts at Anna and Sarah's. Much better than a previous attempt at another location. I just placed an order for 3 pounds more. br>br>Changed the rating from 5 to 4 stars on 8/28/16. )br>After getting two of the three, I noticed that my 1-pound orders were not the same as my 1-pound orders. order of poundage In the one-on-one situation, The skin on the pound order was very light and easily peeled away from the nuts. In the three-part series, The skin on the pound order is hard and dry, and it must be scraped off with the fingernails or teeth. It becomes a little irritating after a while. They're still edible, but I guess I'll have to keep looking for something better.

There were a lot of nice hazelnuts for a great price. I wanted something fresh and nutty to replace my Vanilla Extract latte in the morning. So for a very low price, you can get a pound of Hazelnuts (probably about a hundred in the bag). What a difference it makes to add half a nut to your morning latte. This is a great value for the money. The nuts and the container are of good quality. I wanted the nuts to be roasted, so they weren't.

Use them to roast vegetables and make homemade nutella with nutritious ingredients. I boil the potatoes for a few minutes, then plunge them into cold water to remove the jackets, and then roast them for about 12 minutes. A huge success.
