I was happy to get a six pack of triscuits for such a good price. However, since they arrived on December 4th, 2018, and their best before date is January 5th, 2019, I can't be sure they are still fresh.
The packaging was broken or was contaminated with crumbs in 60% of the 12 boxes we bought. If the crackers cannot be served as advertised, then why buy them? Boxes are filled by weight and not by volume, which makes sense, but the cracker boxes are filled by weight. This is added to my subscribe and save list. The fresh by date for the items is typically a few months in the future due to the lack of preservatives in the ingredients. To my disappointment, my order of five boxes had a best use if it was used by the end of the month. All five boxes I received in my June order were good for the entire month of The crackers I got from someone else are rejected.
The only shredded wheat cracker I can find that is organic is triscuits. I am trying to make your family's diet organic, but didn't find my favorite shredded wheat cracker in an organic alternative. I had these delivered via Amazon Prime and found them to be delightful, fresh and crispy and salty, and NOT full of round-shaped food particles. Happy to be able to do this.
I ordered them from Amazon since Costco stopped carrying them for the season. I devour them by the box. Because they were much smaller than the Costco boxes (I didn't read the fine print), they are delicious, but some are rather pricey.
Because I like the Triscuits and I try to purchase organic products whenever possible, I was pleased to learn that they are now making organic ones. I like to buy them 6 at a time, stock up in bulk. In spite of this, I HATE that they are in plastic, as I am trying to reduce my plastic consumption. Despite the fact that they are organic, these taste just like Triscuits. 365 Wheat Crackers, the Whole Foods brand of organic wheat crackers, were disgusting, flavourless, Hopefully I will be able to purchase organic Triscuits through Amazon in the future Whole Foods should carry organic Triscuits, or I hope they start carrying them! In my opinion, the only disappointment I had was the fact that I received a 6 pack that was less than 6 months old when I ordered it. It is rare for other companies to offer an organic version of this product. It's easy to notice that the improved product of this old line company is a million miles ahead from when these foods were chemically made. It is important for consumers to pay special attention to organic products.
