I finally took the plunge and bought these because they were nowhere to be found. When I was a kid, they were a lot easier to come by. These have always appealed to me, with their thin chocolate coating, soft chewy granola, and moist coconut that isn't overpowering. I bought these as well as the regular chocolate chip cookies. These are my favorites over the other flavor, and for whatever reason, the coconut is half the price. You get 15 in a pack, but they're smaller than the originals that come in a six-pack. These were thankfully delivered early in the morning during the summer and were in excellent condition. The expiration date is September 2020, and we're almost to July 2020, so we're getting close, but they'll be gone much sooner.
The bars' small size, on the other hand, was unexpected. Others I found in my local CVS were twice as big as the ones here. If I can find the larger versions on here, I'll buy them again.
They're tasty, but they're also extremely unhealthy. They resemble a candy bar rather than a granola bar in appearance. They weren't bothered by the heat at all. They were fine after a couple of hours in the fridge; the shelf life is July 25, 2020. 15 October 2020 is the deadline.
It's still not good. These are fantastic for coconut connoisseurs such as myself! However, do not become accustomed to receiving these on a regular basis. They're a total no-no! They also arrive slightly melted; I'm not sure if this is due to the hot weather, but freezing them seems like a good idea.
I used to get them because they were given to me, but now I just get them because they're tasty. The chocolatey coating isn't waxy, which is crucial, and the coconut flavor isn't overwhelming!.
The package arrived on November 3rd, but it is only valid until November 30th, 2020. I'm not sure how I'll get through all of these bars before they expire. Also, it smears oddly, and the covered chocolate was melted when it arrived (it was less than 60 degrees outside).
The flavor is fantastic. Larger box than the only store that carries this product, with plenty of moisture inside to make it even more delicious.
