Would have given 5 stars if it weren't so much cheaper at Sam's Club ($17). 48) for a similar reason. These used to be cheaper as well, but the coronavirus has likely jacked up the price, as it has for everything else on this site. In terms of the product itself, they're excellent, but they're not worth $29!.
These are my daughter's favorite "safe" snack food, and they're a lifesaver for me because I prepare the majority of her other meals and snacks from scratch. They're chewy and sweet, but not too sweet. I like how simple the ingredient list is and how they don't use rice as a flour or sweetener. This was a fantastic deal on two of her favorite flavors (the majority of which were multi-flavored). Packs include a flavor she can't have or doesn't like) and saved me from scouring the city for a good deal when we needed to restock.
When I buy these at our local grocery store, my kids love them. Unfortunately, the first order we received was all melted, and the box was damaged upon delivery (obviously due to the delivery personnel's negligence). Amazon replaced them, which was fantastic; the next box arrived undamaged, but they were a month past their expiration date.
The first half of the boxes were fantastic, but the second half was as solid as a rock. I thought my kids were making it up until I tried it myself and chipped a tooth! It couldn't even be cut with a steak knife; it would have been a good deal if they were all fresh, but we had to throw out half of them, so it was a waste of money.
I'm a retired adult who rides my bike and eats these "kids" bars. Energy bars are the most common type. They're not high in protein, so they're ideal for giving you a boost of energy during a workout. During my rides, I find it easier to consume small bars, about one every hour. I'm not a fan of sugary energy drinks, so this Clif Kid Zbar is perfect for me.
For years, I've been getting the 18-bar chocochip pack from Subscribe and Save. The decision was made by Amazon to end the service. As a result, I made an effort to adapt and chose this pack. I'm going back to Trader J's for these now because they're terrible, stale quality, and inconsistent at best. Blech.
These are a hit with my kids. Both of my children have sensory issues, particularly with food, but they would devour these in a heartbeat.
They're organic, so I don't mind if they enjoy them. They're great for packing lunches or keeping in the car for on-the-go snacks. The flavors are all very similar in taste, so if your child enjoys chocolate, they will enjoy these as well.
