Their title, I agree, is deceptive. I read the ingredients and the safety/allergy information in the advertisement, and the one flavor, Chocolate Mint, appears to be gluten-free. Although the title is deceptive, they make it very clear that the majority of the bars contain wheat in two different places.

My 3 year old nephew was almost given a moldy iced oatmeal z bar. Thankfully, my sister caught him before he bit into it, and upon closer inspection, we discovered that the wrapper was riddled with small holes and cuts. Before feeding children, please inspect the wrappers and bars.
While I understand that "flavors may vary," I'm not convinced. When the lead image doesn't show any peanut butter flavors but the pack you receive contains 75% peanut butter That's simply not acceptable in a family with children who are allergic to peanuts.
The flavors and options in this variety box are a perfect match, and they were all delicious! You can tell you're eating something healthy, with just the right amount of sweetness and a great consistency. The only reason I gave four stars instead of five is because the protein content is so low, even in the "Protein" bars (which have only 5 g!). So, if you're looking for a high-protein snack, you'll have to look elsewhere. However, if you're looking for a simple, non-alcoholic beverage, Gluten-free and free of GMOs This is an excellent option for a free snack that the kids will enjoy.
For a long time, we relied on these because our children enjoyed them so much. We were so enamored with them that we had a monthly subscription. THEN, all of a sudden, a peanut butter flavor was added, which took up half of the box's bars. And none of our kids seem to enjoy it. As a result, we had no choice but to terminate our membership. br>WHY did they feel compelled to include this flavor, especially in such large quantities in one box? br>It was a huge letdown!.
I really like these zbars, but I didn't realize there would only be 14 of them and two zfruit in the package. A total of 16 zbars are depicted in the image. Then I saw "may vary" written on it. Don't judge a book by its cover; you'll get a completely different collection. I had no idea zfruit existed, and it isn't even depicted in any of the photos. However, I believe I made a mistake.
These were purchased for my daughter, but I believe I have consumed more than she has. I'd read that the flavors in the variety pack were unpredictable, but we got exactly what was described in the description. And, despite the softness of some of the bars, none of them were squished in transit, thanks to both the cute box it came in and Amazon's excellent packaging. I'm not a big fan of having to try a product for the first time with such a large variety box, but I think this was a nice surprise. br>br>Now for the flavors. The chocolate brownie and the iced oatmeal cookie have been our favorites so far. Without a doubt, one of the best small bars I've ever encountered. So far, my favorite has been the iced oatmeal cookie. You'd think it'd need a glass of milk or something to go with it, or that it'd be too sweet, but it's actually quite balanced. The regular energy bars aren't particularly crunchy. Because they're so soft, I'd feel comfortable feeding this to a younger child, perhaps a toddler. However, you'd have to make your own judgment on that. I haven't tried the protein bars that came with it, but they appear to be much firmer than they appear in the packaging. It's also not like they're huge bars. They are, however, very filling for me. Also, the fruit twists appear to be quite tasty. I'll take my daughter's word for it if she says she likes them. br>br>It came in a cute little box for shipping. It's ideal for storing them in, and it's 100% recyclable. Because the packaging for the bars is not difficult for me to open, even though I have arthritis, it's reasonable to assume that most children will be able to do so. br>br>I'd give it a 9 out of 10 for overall quality. I wish the bars contained more nutrients, but the taste is undeniable, and the portion and flavor variety are well thought out. I'd also like to see an equal number of each flavor. That, however, is a matter of personal taste. It's a good starter kit for a classroom snack box (if your school allows it) or for sending off with your college-aged child. It just annoys me that this box cost nearly a dollar per bar. It's a little pricey in my opinion, but you get what you pay for sometimes.
I didn't think they were overpriced, and my children appreciated the variety. My husband eats the oatmeal cookies almost every day, and the kids get tired of them after a while. I found the field wants to be a bit of a letdown because I was expecting a more gooey center, but it still tasted good despite the texture difference. Fruit twists are a hit with the kids. We wouldn't normally buy those because gummy foods can cause cavities, but they won't hurt them once in a while. br>Our family prefers the original Z bars over the protein bars, though the protein bars are also delicious. The originals are one of the few approved eating in the car foods that we have on long car trips, at church, or anywhere else that we would have these snacks because they do not crumble and do not get food all over the place. They are one of the few approved eating in the car foods that we have on long car trips, at church, or anywhere else that we would have these snacks because they do not crumble and do not get food all over the place. Because there is no chocolate in the oatmeal cookies, they are the least messy to eat.
We decided to give this a try in order to keep them as healthy as possible. He enjoyed the variety (there was not a single flavor he didn't like), and I appreciate that they are organic and thus a healthier alternative to other brands. The price is excellent, and the subscribe and save feature is ideal; these are ideal for breakfast on the go as well as snacks.
