Questions & Answers

Is it possible to sembrar the lemon grass in the same way that Amazon sent it to me, or do I have to soak it in water for a few days until it becomes raisiny and then transfer it to a ma?

Hola! To be honest, I'm not sure if I can or cannot recognize it as such; this was my first time purchasing it, but what I can say is that I still have it in my possession, and its racial characteristics have grown. I believe that they are ready to be placed in a masetera at this point. Thank you for taking the time to read my response. I hope it gives you some ideas or helps you with something.

When it comes to lemon grass, how long does it last?

Plants in the ground and in pots are among my possessions. They freeze if not well protected in the ground, but pots of lemongrass kept growing indoors if watered regularly and placed in a sunny location. It was a hit with our cat. The grass can be cut at the roots before winter and stored in the refrigerator for later use, but they will also grow roots in a small amount of water and can be planted in pots or in the ground for more plants.

Is it still possible to plant these after they have grown roots?

Probably. You'll need to soak them in water for a few days to a week in order for them to sprout roots. It also depends on your geographical location - The weather should be pleasant throughout the year. I used to grow lemon grass in southern California, but now I live in New York, and my plants died during the winter.

Is the lemongrass used in taste pad thai grown in the United States?

I believe so; the shipping was quick, and it arrived in good condition; I've already begun rooting it.

Fill the container with water to help the roots grow

Edit: They are exactly as pictured in the attached photo, despite the fact that they were received less than two months ago. I've got all seven in soil in full sun (plant in soil when roots are about 1cm long, keep moist, gradually increase plants' exposure to sun over two weeks to avoid burning leaves) and they're doing great! I keep the soil moist but allow it to almost dry out between waterings. Original review: br>br> I decided to grow my own lemongrass tea after tasting freshly prepared lemongrass tea (with a little milk and sugar) in Panama and finding teabags in the US to be far too weak in comparison. Established plants are expensive, and then I came across this. They sent seven instead of six, which is fantastic. One of my plants rooted quickly, in less than ten days, and is now firmly rooted in soil. Two more have taken up residence in the kitchen window's glass. DO change the water daily (or twice daily) as recommended by other reviewers. Place them in a warm, sunny window to keep them fresh. Even without roots, all of mine have grown vertically since the day they arrived. br>br>Thus far, everything has gone well. I'm in ecstasy right now.

Prolific
5/5

"Uh, you got some onions in the mail," my husband said as he called me at work the day these arrived. "Not onions, dear," I explained, "but put them in water. " "br>br>When I get home, I'll take a look at them. To begin with, I was given a score of ten instead of six. As a result, there are bonus plants. Second, seven of the plants had begun to take root. When my husband put the plants in water that morning, he swears the roots were not there. It's been a few days, and the roots have grown to be about three times their original size. In any case, I'm ecstatic and can't wait to watch these guys grow!.

Fabulous! I ordered a set and received them in about four days
5/5

In excellent condition after only 5 days! They sent seven plants instead of six, which is even better! br>br>I placed them in a clear plastic tub with about 2 inches of water and a stick of plant food. CHANGE THE WATER ON A DAILY BASIS! Every couple of days, rinse the ends of the plants and gently rub them to remove any algae or scum. br>br>It took about three weeks for them to show roots, but since then, they've been growing like crazy. I'll wait about two weeks for them to develop more root structure before planting them in a planter. br>br>When they arrived, the butt end was dark brown, which is to be expected. AFTER THE APPEARANCE OF ROOTS; if the dark color spreads upwards or if black spots appear That's a telltale sign that something is wrong. Simply peel off the outer layer of the frond, taking care not to damage any roots or new fronds growing beneath it. However, you should only need to do this once. The new fronds resemble spikes that point to the plant's top.

AN UPDATE ON THE ORIGINAL REVIEW: I was underwhelmed when it arrived, as it was extremely dry
4/5

UPGRADED FROM ONE STAR TO FOUR STARS ON JULY 9, 2020. For the reasons stated previously, I was extremely dissatisfied with the product I received. I complained to the seller, and to his credit, he promptly refunded my money in full. br>br>I kept trying to root the stalks, which necessitated the removal of a large number of dead and rotting outer leaves. FINALLY, about 3 of the stalks are beginning to show signs of root growth today. The other stalks haven't come back to life yet. br>br>I would have given this product a 2 based on the condition of the stalks when they arrived and the fact that rooting was poor. However, I have revised this to a 4 because of the excellent customer service and prompt refund from the Seller. br> I wrote to the Seller because about half of the stalks appeared to be rooting, and I offered to pay for the value I received. ORIGINAL POST: BR>BR>ORIGINAL POST: ORIGINAL POST: ORIGINAL POST: ORIGINAL P br>All of the stalks were dry when they arrived, and some had rotted bases. Rooting is being attempted as directed, but no roots have yet emerged. I don't have high hopes. If the seller sends me viable stalks or if these stalks miraculously come back to life, I will update this review.

These plants were purchased in order for me to begin growing my own
5/5

This lemongrass was purchased so that I could start growing it in a wicking bed outside. br>br>The lemongrass arrived in excellent condition, fragrant, and with some small starts at the bottom of all but one of the stalks. I could have cooked them up right away because they were in perfect condition. I first submerged them in water, and they all sprouted roots. They're now outside, in the bed, and have reached a height of a couple of feet, with the new shoots growing in size. br>br>I'm glad I read the directions and decided to do it this way. I've tried starting lemongrass from seed before, but the plants never grew the large, fat stalks that you desire. The lemongrass you buy in stores to eat (like this one) is supposed to be a different plant or variety than the seed. I believe this to be true now that I have grown in both areas.

At first, I was disappointed, but now I'm overjoyed! SEE REVIEW UPDATE AT BOTTOMbr>On Thursday, 4/1/21, I received six
5/5

The plants didn't appear to be in good shape, and they didn't look anything like the picture in the description. There were no guidelines provided. After that, I read the reviews and decided to root them in water before planting them. br>THE FIRST UPDATE WAS ON 4/15/21. Three of the plants have roots now, as seen in the second photo above. They've spent 11 days in the water. I'm crossing my fingers that the other three will take root as soon as possible. I've raised my rating to two starsbr>2nd update 4/27/21: all six have now taken root and are growing like weeds. lol. I've raised my rating to 5 stars, as evidenced by the one planted in dirt. I suppose all you have to do now is wait. Instructions should be included in the message from the sender!.

Lemongrass Stalks of the Finest Quality I didn't give this Lemongrass a rating because I didn't buy it to cook with; instead, I bought it to keep mosquitos away
5/5

However, based on the appearance of these lovely stalks, I believe they have a lot of flavor. These stalks are of excellent quality, just like the ones I bought last year. I'll root them in water and then plant them outside as a mosquito repellent. I adore these plants; they did exceptionally well last year, and I'm confident that, based on the quality of the stalks, they will do even better this year. I got them a lot faster than I anticipated. Exceptional Seller:.
