It never even occurred to me before & The pantry shelf has served us well as a safe place to store them When kept for a long period of time, like six to nine months, they might mold, but because you wrap each one separately that is not likely to happen, and they should not dry out any more than when they were unpackaged.
My honest opinion is that it is unlikely. It does come in a plastic bag that may have the capability of being reusable, but it's very crisp. Since the prunes are all individually wrapped and the wrappers are gooey from the prunes, that should not be the case. Obviously I'm a big proponent of green living, but I make an exception when it comes to these, which I carry in my bag and eat like candy when I get hungry. Luckily, they're individually wrapped so they stay juicy even if they're individually wrapped, but yeah, not the best for the environment.
