Super Savings - Delicious, moist, and healthy
5/5

Much better value than Mariani's at Sam's Club, and even better now - UPDATE! This is an excellent product at an excellent price. My wife and I have been purchasing Mariani dried pitted plums from Sam's Club for several years because we thought they were a good deal. A 40-ounce bag of these dried fruits should cost less than $8 in most cases. The flavor was good, and the bag was well-sealed for refrigerator storage. However, the prunes will lose most of their moisture and even some of their flavor after a few days in the refrigerator. Now that I'm looking at the package and trying to figure out what's going on, I've noticed two things. These prunes contain two unhealthy ingredients: sunflower oil (which is bad for you) and potassium sorbet (which is bad for you). Furthermore, the package warns that the bag may contain milk, wheat, or soy (all of which are problematic). Now, when it comes to comparing the Newman's Own Organic Prunes, I have to start by saying WOW! To me, these prunes are bursting with fresh, moist flavor. The taste of prunes. Second, because there are no preservatives in the prunes, they stay extremely moist and flavorful when stored in the refrigerator. Third, you get the added benefit of the product being organic, which means no added anything, no GMOs, pesticides, herbicides, wheat, soy, or chemicals, just pure goodness, super sweet (naturally sweet with no added sugar) prunes, making this product, in my opinion, one of the best ever snacks. I've also discovered that eating only four prunes a day keeps me in great shape. There is only one minor quibble: (And this is a minor quibble that in no way detracts from the 5-star rating. ) star rating) The bag seals easily enough, but opening it after it has been sealed can be difficult, requiring noticeable effort, and an elderly person with arthritis in their joints may have difficulty re-sealing the bag. one of the bags is being opened In terms of value, the Mariani Prunes at Sam's Club are roughly half the price, and you only need to buy one 40-ounce bag. However, these Newman's prunes are of such superior quality and are far healthier than the Mariani prunes that I will not purchase the Mariani prunes, regardless of how much less expensive they are. br>br>UPDATE THURSDAY, APRIL 3, 2018. Wow! I opened my most recent purchase, a new pouch, about a week ago. Let me tell you, as difficult as it is to believe, these prunes were moister and tastier than they had ever been. This latest batch appears to be bursting at the seams with flavor. Furthermore, these prunes are unaffected by refrigeration. After you've eaten a few, simply seal them in the high-quality zip seal pouch, and when you're ready to eat more, these wonderful prunes retain all of their moisture, except now. They're cool and refreshing. and taste even better, in my opinion. As a result, my favorite organic product is now even better than it was previously. These prunes are to die for. Paul Newman, I'd like to express my gratitude for everything you've done for.

It's Too Wet And Slimy - It's nearly repulsive
3/5

These are too moist, sticky, and lacking in sweetness. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a big fan of hard foods, but these are slimy and wet. They're also not as sweet because they haven't been properly dried. I can't imagine anyone liking these, but it appears that they do. I'm not one of them, to be sure! It wasn't just one bag; the same thing happened to all of the bags in my order. They were downright revolting to me.

Great product with delicious organic goodness! These prunes are very tasty and help me stay on track
5/5

Others have complained that they are too sticky and mushy in their reviews. I think they're perfect, and I'm fine with that because I know they're not laced with chemicals to make them easier to work with. I prefer them this way because I know they are organic and free of harmful chemicals. "Use a napkin or a piece of paper toweling to better treat your body with these wonderful prunes!" I say.

Low-calorie snack that may relieve constipation and diarrhea
5/5

This is fantastic. It's light and airy. It's a good way to avoid having to go to the bathroom on the spur of the moment. Both constipation and diarrhea can be relieved by using this supplement. About six years ago, I had a third of my colon removed. Because of my shortened colon, I had to make a lot of bathroom trips, including a lot of emergency trips. I tried to stay away from fiber as much as possible. I kept looking for answers and came across comments claiming that prunes could help with diarrhea emergencies, so I gave it a shot. It went off without a hitch. Taking a half-dozen of these low-calorie snacks before bedtime bulked up my stool (ending diarrhoea) and gave me very complete morning movements. My daily stool movements have decreased significantly as a result of emptying my colon every morning. Since then, I've increased my intake of dried Calmyrna Figs and dried pineapple. I've also made the switch to whole wheat bread. Strangely enough, I avoided whole wheat and fiber because I assumed they would increase my bathroom visits. It turned out that the white bread and lack of fiber were causing a lot of small stools and diarrhea every day. Everything changed when I had a big elimination in the morning.

The Ideal Snack - When you can get it for a reasonable price
4/5

*Update 06/24/18* As with many other Amazon favorites, availability has plummeted, and prices are increasing with each order. Since then, I've discovered organic alternatives that come in pre-portioned packages that are also compostable or recyclable. Let's get this party started. br>br>The first time I ordered these, I had trouble committing because the bulk order is quite large. It's no longer a problem. These are fantastic. Initially, I planned to eliminate all refined sugar treats from my diet. They're ideal for that because they're perfectly portioned to satisfy a craving without jeopardizing your diet, they're tasty, and the unopened bag will keep them fresh for a long time. I've persuaded a few friends and family members to try it out, and it's delicious!.

The Best Prunes I Can Find are of the highest quality
5/5

These are the best prunes I've ever come across or consumed. For starters, I appreciate that they are organic and contain no other ingredients. Two, they come in a convenient zip-top bag that is easy to open and close. The prunes are kept fresh in a lock-type bag, which is also easily transportable and mess-free once opened. Three, the quality is far superior to anything else I've come across - They're moist, soft, have a great flavor, and are of excellent quality. I consume them on a daily basis to maintain regularity due to a health condition that necessitates additional fiber intake. These prunes are simple to spoon out of the package into a glass container and soak for a few hours to make them even softer and more digestible. Newman's Own Organic California Prunes were recently discontinued by the only grocery store chain in my area, so I was thrilled to discover them on Amazon. com at a lower price than in stores, and it was delivered quickly to my door without me having to leave the house.
