Added salt and sugar to dried plums.
As with the whites, these potatoes are just a little salty.
It doesn't look as salty as the regular Mui to me.
These are the only ingredients that I know of dried plums, licorice, sugar, and salt.

It's been a while since I had li hing mui, but I have some gnarled pregnancy cravings for salty, sweet things right now. The first time I saw them I was looking for regular saladitos in the Mexican style. Even though the price is extremely high for these, I enjoyed them nevertheless The three stars are a result of this. With that being said, I concur with others about the strong aspartame after taste. In fact, I didn't eat as many because of the amount of aspartame in them. Although they were delicious, I thought they were still good.
My problem was that the product label could not even be read when the picture was enlarged. This was a surprise to me because I thought it would be pitted dried plums, but it contains licorice and aspartame, both of which I cannot have. Just sharing this for those with similar dietary restrictions.
It is one of the Q&A products that I purchased because I was looking for one without Aspartame I was very disappointed when a response said it was just sugar, salt, and plums.
There is nothing good about either of them. I had the Jade brand which had pits, but they were much better than these ones without I should have gotten the Jade brand. The cherry's are usually pretty good, which is a bummer. It's a lesson learned, but oh well.
When I was a kid, I used to snack on these back home. My order came, and the flavor is still the same. They are sweet and yummy. I think the price is a bit high for such Even so, I would still order since we don't find them on mainland (U. S. ).
It was deceiving to expect a larger package at that price, with a much more extensive selection of products. INCREDIBLY disappointed. Although the taste was great, it was not worth spending so much money for what was provided.
I am glad to hear that you are doing well, Li Hing Mui The same way I remember it from when I was a kid on the islands. Although the seedless varieties are more appealing to me, I tend to prefer the seed variety.
Having a salty and sweet combination, and being extremely tender and moist, red li hing mui is one of my favorites, but sometimes it's too dry or salty for me. There is just nothing better than these.
