There was a message saying "Allergy Information" Produced at a facility that is a handler of peanuts, tree nuts, soy, and dairy products. Since I trust Amazon and didn't read the Allergy Statement when the bag came in, I took the label online to be sure it was correct. In order to make sure the quality was good, I ate several pieces throughout the afternoon. While it was to spicy for me, I still found it to be very tasty and figured that it would be delicious chopped and steeped in decaf tea, or nibbled slowly if someone had an upset stomach, and also chopped into tiny pieces to make some ginger muffins. Naturally, I'm married to my girlfriend. After I returned home, I got very sick the following day, and I was chronically ill for weeks. make your stomach hurt it causes a host of other problems as well. Having Celiac disease can make you feel awful, or a migraine headache can be horrible, or cause many other issues that can be painful and serious (or even worse) such as the aforementioned AFib, or even result in anaphalaxis in some instances. I was unable to connect at first I will not be able to fix it until I re-install You can find the BAG label on the bag This is what the Allergen Statement says on the bag I received "This product is produced and processed in a facility that also processes peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, soy, and dairy products. As usual, I contacted Amazon, who immediately refunded my money. That did not make me feel better physically, however. Now that I see the packaging has changed on this site My bag was the clear big one that is still listed in the ad as of this posting. In addition to the clear bag picture in the advertisement, there is a NEW bag also seen in the advertisement, and it states "Gluten Free" on the front. This is a bit My ginger bag seems to be contaminated. Is it actually contaminated? the label I have on my package accurate? What is the impact of contamination on the NEW bag style? Are they still using contaminated equipment to process their ginger? What kind of testing and equipment does this company use- They have cleaning procedures in place to prevent making people sick by processing all the allergens that are on their equipment, or no? At this time, the only thing I can do is avoid this product. And quick heads up. The OH Nuts! brand is also available on Amazon, and I tried to order it it had no allergen statement on the Amazon website yet, it came in with a similar label showing it was also processed in the same manner, It's impossible for me to buy either of these products until either this potentially dangerous situation is corrected, or until the labels are corrected and it's brought to light which one is the real one. I also filled out the little box on each Amazon site that says "I will try not to get sick" in an effort to help others avoid getting sick. The incorrect product information needs to be reported. It's been just under two weeks since that incident, but still the important information has not been made available anywhere on the two sites.

I used to buy ginger for about $3 for 6 oz or so at the local fruit market, but that no longer exists. Hence, I will have to purchase it from Although I have to buy in bulk, I think this is a better deal than the one I found previously. It's sulfered, by the way, and it wasn't mentioned on the site but the ingredients say it's sulfer. The taste of the candy is sweet (you do want to put it in a box and shake it a lot to get rid of a lot of the sugar it is wrapped While the flavor is pleasantly sour, it also has a strong kick of heat, more than usual for me. Recently I purchased the 5 lb bag and the medium sized one I had already purchased. It must be noted there is a warning on the bag They also process peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, soy, and dairy, so pretty much all allergies are handled, just for clarification.

As well as helping with inflammation, it also helps with arthritis pain, among other things. I've started keeping it on hand for stomach issues. I have never found a brand that is as good as this. I loved the way it tasted and had just the right amount of heat. There is no comparison between the price and quality here!.

The best ginger I have tried so far. I have tried a lot of ginger so far and this is one of the best. There is some toughness to it, but it is chewy at the same time. don't like the ones that are all mushy and stringy like some I've When you first put this in your mouth (I store mine in the refrigerator) it is thin and a little tough, but it quickly becomes soft and chewy as the saliva and heat work their way into it. I also noticed that it has quite a bit of heat to it, definitely one of the hottest gingers I ever had. Even so, I like it, it is so hot you can't just chomp on it piece after piece, you have to "pace" yourself I like it, though, because This is a natural product and I would expect that it will vary from batch to batch because each plant is going to have different characteristics as for hotness and softness, to firmness and so on. I hope it is fairly consistent though, as this will be my primary ginger source What's even more surprising is that it's priced one of the lowest in the industry. There is candied/crystallized ginger sold at my local grocery store and it is about $7 a lb, whereas this is about half that price and it has a superior taste and texture.

This product receives a 5 STAR rating from me. I tore open the package today and ate a slice. The package is extremely well packaged and well packaged. The product is freshly packed. Thanks to this product, I didn't have to deal with stale or hard bread like I did with other brand that I previously purchased from my local grocery store. Today's Tangy that's what it's all about. I love it! I LOVE THIS SO FRESH & YUMMY I TEND. The food I have bought has usually been stale and dry. The price of this is similar to what I used to get at Asian markets in California when I was a young man. My recommendation for this product is strong, and I would buy from this seller again. Thanks for your assistance. I am thrilled with my purchase, it's just what I wanted - fresh, chewy and warm with a wonderful aroma! It has a SWEET SPICY KICK to it that makes it DOWN RIGHT DELICIOUS. There is nothing better than it to satisfy a sweet tooth. This is something I'm going to purchase.

ordered two more bags at the same time since I've bought it twice before and it's so delicious that it's almost irresistible. There are stale, hard pieces in both bags, which have an off taste. Despite my best efforts I was told that Amazon was unable to refund me or replace the product. It seems I had a much better experience with the 5 pound bags, but I had to throw out a third of the first bag it was not satisfactory. As the second bag was not sealed properly, I suspect its quality is not going to be all that great either.

It is the third time I have bought this product. It is evident from the initial order of ginger that I am not too dissatisfied, otherwise the last order of ginger would have been mine. However, customers should know that it varies substantially in its softness and strength of flavor from order to order. These range in strength from quite mild to quite strong and this variation occurs both within each bag and between them. Accordingly, my current (3rd) order is much stronger than both my previous 2 orders combined. Furthermore, it is more fibrous than the previous one. This time, I think I've discovered that some pieces (maybe one out of 10) have to be chewed & digested After that, you spit it The previous two cases did not take place in that way. The bags weigh 5 lbs each. This product has quite a bit of natural variation, so that is what we need to take from this. It still seems to work for me enough that I will keep buying it.
