It contains no additives because it is organic. In the absence of There is also an organic version on this page, but I believe that is the preservative-free version. On my organic bag there are only organic ginger and organic sugar.
It's not possible for there to be any! The ginger is from Thailand, but the packaging is from the United States. Is the FDA trustworthy when it comes to investigating lead issues? The ginger is doubtful to be Does that make sense as a lead source? Keeping us all up to date is very important! After using the product for more than 8 months I have not had any signs of lead poisoning (at least no one has told me that).
Michael, I wanted to know if the packaging of the product I have states that each 28 gram serving has 23 grams of sugar. Taking the 23 grams to be both sugars added and sugars in the ginger, I assume that the 23 grams is both added and natural sugars. Even though it is a high percentage, I only use ginger in small quantities and at a few times while When the ginger is available, you can eat it directly. Thank you for your question. I hope this helps. I wish you all the best,
I'm not sure. The 3 lb. I bought cost me $5.99. It looks like an old fashioned paper grocery bag (that's the weight too) but it is so fancy. There is no shipping charge. Shipment weight was not even considered.

It used to be that my son ate it all up, but after he had eaten one bite he would not eat it any more. The flavor is quite good, as I have had some. The tea is hot, but not flavorful. It leaves a slightly chemical taste behind. There is something "off" about the tea I should be fair and say that this was the cheapest one, so it might have been my fault for being cheap (but it had It may just have something to do with this bag. I'm not sure.
I like the price and opted for Prime shipping for overnight delivery. As soon as I opened the bag and tasted it, I was amazed that it arrived so quickly! In order to determine if I had been sent the wrong product, I had to look at the ingredients. Ginger flavor is not strong at all, and the pepper has no bite. Not much to say about this. In trying to return it, I found out that it is non-returnable. As a result, I have now spent all of the money and must find another way to buy it. After all, it isn't a great deal. It was a very disappointing experience! Ginger is one of my favorite spices, and I drink it several times per day along with apple cider vinegar and honey. In addition, sulfur dioxide is also present, which is particularly harmful to some people. It seemed like just ginger and sugar was going to be given to me. I asked Amazon to refund my money before I had a chance to return it. A big thank you to Amazon I can now buy the real thing from another retailer!.
I bake commercially, so I always look for high quality and value. Pieces of this ginger are large, soft, and covered in sugar. The ginger is fresh, flavorful, and at a reasonable price. Adding them to scones and cookies is one of my favorite ways to use them. It's a wonderful product that I'm going to order again in the future.
Due to my love of crystallized ginger (and the fact that I have eaten it for decades), I ordered a large bag, which I was shocked to discover was made from ginger that had been crystallized after it had shriveled and become There is nothing more I can say to this company then, "Shame on you!" Instead of selling tea, you should have tossed out what you should have recycled!.
I was saddened to read some of the negative reviews posted. Prior to Covid- I used to buy crystallized ginger in bulk from Fred Meyer however, now I buy it directly from As a result of Hurricane 19 ravaging the country, many stores emptied their During my search online, I came across Anna & Co Those of Sarah. After initially being hesitant, I eventually decided to give it a try and am so happy I did! We like how soft it is and how chewy it is. (I measured) The majority of slices are cut 1/4 inch thick and are well-portioned to one another. These sugar crystals are coated in This purchase has been an excellent experience. I will consider purchasing other products from the company.
As far as crystallized ginger offerings go, there is none better than the one offered by A&B This is a great product. (Best price we have found on Amazon and those other web sites searching for high quality. ) This cure is solid, producing mainly perfect pieces with some smallish, but still good, pieces that are very soft and are not sticky. It is necessary to sieve all of it to remove too much sugar for our taste, but it is worth the little bit of effort. These are comparative statements, as we have ordered from multiple other places and A&A has consistently provided excellent service We have a winner in S. In the past six years, we have bought a total of six times. I have done so on a previous date, and I will again do so.
of Anna and Sarah Dried Crystallized Ginger. It fulfills the description and is to be As far as I am concerned, it tastes good to me, as it should. My personal opinion is that anything not grown in the USA and and is not naturally organic is not for me. However, I do know that ginger, especially when it is being grown at the point of stated origin, is very tasty and filling. If there was an issue, the issue would show up quickly since it provides a major food source. I simply rotate brands because the organic is so expensive so I am able to control all of that. As I mentioned, this product has a short list of ingredients and thus I am fine with it. It is due to my unexplained food allergy issues that I must be cautious off sulfur, but I don't expect to have any problems. It is not really necessary to add it to candy or to keep it fresh, since the candy'ing process itself gets rid of any moisture. My "use by date" was clear, and I found it easy to locate and was appropriate to my needs. The bag I received stated that the ginger had been packaged in New Jersey, a state where we do have a very large, diverse "asian" population, which consumes a lot of ginger, as do we. This is my first time buying the product. If there are no unforeseeable issues or an organic USA source at this price point, then I give it 4 star across the board, since it isn't grown in the USA and/or organic.
DOES CONTAIN SULFUR DI Oxide. Sulfites cause an allergic reaction for me, so I should have carefully read the ingredients label before eating. My fingers are crossed that I do not get a migraine headache or asthma attack since I only ate a slice or two of this ginger. There is a lot of anti-inflammatory properties in ginger Sulfur is inflammatory, but it is not inflammatory when it is consumed. It seems that my neighbor will get a bag of crystallized ginger for free. There is no return policy for this item. The ginger in Whole Foods and The Fresh Market aren't quite as juicy and yummy as the unsulfured ginger.
