Sweet but not too much- Possibly not as sweet as regular coconut
While manufacturers take great pains to prevent cross-contamination, the product is most likely made on a line or in a facility that also processes nuts, grains, and other foods. Unless those products are processed in a completely separate facility, it's nearly impossible to ensure there are no traces of peanut/grain dust or crumbs in other products processed on the line. As a result, manufacturers are required to disclose that traces of other products may be present for the safety of people who are at risk of anaphylactic shock or who have diseases like celiac disease.
Mine was purchased in April of this year, and the package states that it is good until November of this year. I keep it out of the sun and away from heat and moisture.
There is no added sugar in this product. There's nothing in it but organic coconut. Thank you for your inquiry.

When I opened the bag and it didn't "smell like coconut," I was disappointed; however, I used this product to make dark chocolate coconut bites, and the consistency was perfect without the need for a food processor, saving me time; I quickly forgot about my disappointment and will be purchasing again.
I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. After that, there was such a letdown. There isn't even a hint of coconut, and the flavor is completely devoid of it. I'm not sure if it's been sitting on the shelf for too long because I can't find the expiration date. I tried a different brand, which was marginally better but still not great. I suppose I'll just keep trying. Meanwhile, I'll finish this bag and file it away as fiber.
The texture of this coconut is far superior to that of ordinary coconut. Arrived on time and will be used to make another cake in the future.
" "Peanuts, tree nuts, and soy may be present," the package warns. "This is a significant difference because our family suffers from a severe peanut allergy. We are unable to use this product, and its listing must be updated.
Instead, I got coconut that had been defatted. I won't be buying anything else.
It's delectably crisp and fresh. So far, it's only been used in granola. It was delicious.
Baking Ingredients.
It's a little too squishy. They're not the kind of hojuelas you'd find in a grocery store.
