They certainly don't have that odor. I make elderberry syrup in large batches with only the purest ingredients. This product drew my attention at first because it claimed to be USDA Organic and was reasonably priced. I paid $42 for elderberries, but they had a strange odor, which disappointed me. I should have done a little more research on this company before buying because there's something fishy about their products; they advertise USDA Organic on Amazon but don't advertise USDA Organic on their website, and the USDA Organic berries are cheaper for some reason. Save your money and go somewhere else to shop.

I bought these Elderberries to make tea with, and they are delicious and ideal for my needs. They have a lot of flavor, so I cook them for 15 minutes with cinnamon, then let them sit for another 5 minutes before adding raw honey and drinking them. I splurged and paid a little more for elderberries than I usually do, but they appeared to be well worth it- The berries are of excellent quality, with a delicious flavor. I was ecstatic to have made the syrup just before my family was diagnosed with COVID earlier this month. For over a year, I've been making my own elderberry syrup with a different organic brand, and this one tastes so much better. Berries have a deep, dark color and have a fruity aroma. There are very few stems and the fruit is pale. My syrup is incredibly tasty! The flavor is significantly improved.

I will purchase once more. There are no issues with which I have expressed dissatisfaction. There were a few small stems, but overall it was a great product. I made Elderberry syrup with rose hips and Hibiscus flowers, as well as clove, ginger, and cinnamon, and raw local honey. This is my first time making it, and I'm really enjoying it!
