In the box of unsalted beef stock, it says it contains vegetable stocks, and it also mentions onion (among other things). Although it appears to contain onion juice concentrate, it does not indicate if it contains onion powder or onion juice. That should help a little bit.

I have used a number of brands of stock (including my own) in the course of my cooking career. Having grown up in my house, I know what our tastes are as a family - I like beef, pork, and chicken. You can get an idea of this by learning about The typical American eats a lot of fresh foods and very few prepared items, such as salt at the table. My own stock can be time consuming, and lately time is no longer easy to come by, so, this stock is wonderful for soup (beef barley or vegetable beef) and chili preparations, but, best of all, for cooking all day in my slow cooker. When we have pot roast with potatoes and carrots near the end, I will add some red wine (only something I would drink myself) on occasion, but always onions, garlic, celery, smoked salt and at the very end, potatoes and carrots. The reason I do not wish for more salt in the stock is because I add smoked salt during the browning of the meat The Kitchen Basics stock meets our needs perfectly. Even though unsalted stock is hard to find, this stock is packed with great flavor. Pot roast is prepared in a fantastic broth created from the unsalted stock - the perfect base for a delicious meal. It will fall apart tender on Day 2 (or on Day 3 if it makes it that far) and even better on Day 3. Come on, whip up some freshly baked Irish soda bread and enjoy! Oh, and the sizing of the containers fits perfectly into my 1940's sized cupboards, too, which is a huge plus.
You're the best. The versatility of the item lends itself to many.
All of the Kitchen Basics Stocks are great, but I particularly like the unsalted versions, since you can reduce them without having a salty aftertaste. When they are reduced, and if they need salt, you can use sea salt or a salt substitute. It is difficult to find the unsalted ones in stores, so I have to buy them 6 at once on It is common for me to use them often, so the supply does run out fast.
For my son who is allergic to all kinds of foods, my wife and I make a faux soy sauce from this beef stock. Until now, we've found that this is the only brand of beef stock that's.
My aim is always to reduce my sodium intake while retaining flavor, so I'm always on the lookout for ways to reduce salt even while maintaining When I was looking for the unseasoned beef stock alternative to the regular beef stock at Kitchen Basics, I was thrilled. It's good to know that by using this product you can cut your sodium intake from 430 mg to 200 mg. I think some people are confused by the label, and believe it's salt-free when on the contrary it's As a result, Kitchen Basics does not add any fresh salt to the already existing soup but instead tries to eliminate it to the greatest extent possible Clearly, I have a complete understanding and comprehension of this matter. I have never had a beef stock taste better and the full flavor it presents is what amazes me and delights me, as I use this stock for chilis, pot roasts, French dishes, and others, and I have never been disappointed. Every kitchen should have at least a few cartons of this, a few cartons of chicken stock, a few cartons of vegetable stock, and so on.
