It was great to have canned Ortega Enchilada Sauce on hand. After it became unavailable in the grocery stores, I mail ordered it from "My Brands", one case at a time. "My Brands" has since closed their doors. The fact that there is a bottled version available on Amazon makes me so happy. The taste of this eat is very similar to the canned version, even though the ingredients are not identical. It is thanks to Amazon that this product is.
It turned out that two of the jars in this package were moldy. All jars were still sealed and had plenty of time left on the expiration date. Whenever I opened the other jars, I poured every jar into a container to ensure that there was no foreign matter inside of it. This way my food would not be ruined. There will never be another purchase of this product for me. As far as I am concerned, I would give it zero stars.
It is about 1/3 more than what I use when making enchiladas, but because the price was so low in comparison to using two 10 ounce cans or a 19 ounce can of another brand, I refrigerate the left over and use it for other uses.
The best sauce ever.
Our company has been using this technology for more than a decade. The grocer we used to shop in our old neighborhood was no longer carrying it. It was great to be able to make our favorite dishes again after finding it online. There have been several others that we have tried. By far, this is superior to the competition. When it comes to Ortega, no mistake can be made.
My family and I love Ortega! We use it regularly in our Would love to be able to have the 303.
Also, there is no MSG in it, which is a plus for me. It was delicious!.
The sauce could have been a bit thicker, but Ortega's flavor is what counts, so I can't complain too much.
