Over the years, I've tried most taco and enchilada sauce brands. This is my favorite. It has just the right amount of heat and flavor. I add cumin and Worcestershire for my taste. Other brands I've tried were too spicy. Spices overpower the flavor of the sauce because of the chili powder and other ingredients. You can always add more spice but you can't take it away. As well as their taco sauce, they serve excellent guacamole.
The enchilada sauce I always turn to is this one. It tastes the best to me, and both the flavors are perfectly balanced. Besides the good price, it comes in a nice size can, most enchilada sauces are only available in small cans where I live. I usually purchase this in the store, but decided to order it here since I was already having other stuff delivered. It does not have any dents or anything like that. My enchiladas are always a hit! I'm not sure how this compares to authentic sauce, but it's a lot better than what I used to buy! Having the right sauce can make or break a dish, and this one has a way of making mine every time!.
The sauce is delicious, but we received the shipment today and found that ALL 6 cans (the picture shows the 3 worst) were dented. This is a NO-GO.
It has great flavor and is pricey. I found a better price on Amazon than at the supermarket. Despite the fact that it is perfectly fine when enchiladas are made with it. To make it more savory, I added 1 cup of chicken broth and made a thick roux with a tablespoon of butter and a tablespoon of Everything was great from then on!.
My shock began the moment I opened the can. This is the most bland enchilada sauce I have ever tried. Even mild enchiladas usually have a strong aroma, but this one has no taste at all. It was more like tomato sauce with peppers than authentic Mexican food I've had. I've eaten authentic Mexican food, street food, and Americanized Mexican food my whole life. To make the dish palatable, nearly two tablespoons of chili powder were needed.
You did a pretty good job. I made enchiladas, and they tasted exactly like the enchiladas at any Mexican restaurant. As a result. It will definitely be a repeat purchase for me.
enchilada sauce I had did not have the same flavor as other sauces I've Most canned sauces may not taste as authentic as it actually does. The taste wasn't what I wanted, as even though it stated mild, it was hotter than some of my other brands, and many consumers don't like it, either.
Red Enchillada Sauce is a basic sauce that is pretty good. This is a very mild taste. If you want it to have more zip, you'll need to add some spice to it. Nevertheless, in one tin there is a lot packed in there.
