Questions & Answers

Is there a difference in length between nails?

The head to the end measures about 5 3/4 inches. You do not have to worry about a delectable treat You need not worry about the size of the potato. If you want to cook a potato properly, you don't need the nail to cover the entire potato. I always get excellent results when I make my potatoes.

For potatoes, I usually cook them one hour at a time. How long should I cook them this way? Thanks so much?

To a certain extent, we can't tell. Depending on the size of the potato and what temperature you are cooking it at, the cooking time will vary. The average cooking time for a 3 to 4 inch potato with these takes about 30 to 45 minutes (there are many variables,

The nails do not cover the potatoes, so will they be dry if I do not wrap them in foil?

You will never have a problem with your potatoes drying out when you brush them with vegetable oil before baking. I know of a friend who rolls her in Kosher salt after oiling and hers come out perfectly.

What is the country of origin of the metal?

Good morning! Made in China, these potato nails are a popular item. I appreciated it!

I am very pleased with this product
5/5

I like how easy it is You can either bake them, grill them or air fry them by inserting a nail into the long end of the potato (rumsey or sweet). In order to cook large potatoes, set the oven to 400 degrees F for about 40 minutes. To achieve desired results, you can adjust the time or temp based on the size of your potatoes. Since the nails heat up and cook the potatoes from the inside out, they cook relatively quickly with any of the methods. After finishing without any rubbing of oil on the skin, it is nice and chewy. Depending on what you desire, you can create appetizers such as twice baked potatoes or potato skins after cooking the potatoes. We are very happy with the results!.

I found exactly what I needed! There are stainless steel ones and they're long enough to hold a big baked potato
5/5

Thank you so much. In their own box they keep all their little treasures. You can use this flat piece to pry out a nail if it sinks in your hot food as it is being skewered. The potato nails on these are extra long, whereas those on other potato nails are too small. We bid farewell to.

Even internal cooking of root vegetables with this product
5/5

For a large family style group of people I bake a lot of potatoes, yams, sweet potatoes, and other root vegetables. Neither I nor my family use a BBQ, but the Weber brand potato nails work great in an In the case of larger items, I frequently use two- From one end to the other. The best results seem to come when they are not pushed in all the way.

The case in which Tiffany keeps her nails contains a lot of Big Lots
4/5

You can use nails on a baking potato of any size. After 45 minutes, the potato meat is smooth and delicious. The toaster oven has a temperature of 375 degrees. My anticipation was that I would be able to take my potato nails to parties and barbecues with me and whip them out with the air of a master pianist taking the case of a Stradivarius out of his violin. I regret to inform you that this case is null and void. It will never have all six nails in it, and it will be like a jewel case for a CD if you don't take care of it properly. It is also useless to use the nail puller. The potholder is just a piece of cloth, what is wrong with that?.

Adding more water to my potatoes made them cook It was cheaper to buy the case separately as I think they were less expensive versions of this tool
5/5

This is one of my favorite things to do (I enjoy It was a great experience. There was a regular baked potato and a Japanese sweet potato that I baked. It was once impossible to bake the sweet potatoes evenly in Japan. As long as the nail was present, this did not pose a problem. The product or any nail you use to bake a potato better is suitable for me. If the baker wraps the potato in tinfoil before cooking, the nail will fall out once the potato is well done, but if it's not tinfoil, the nail will fall out.

As I was looking at this set, I liked the fact that it came in a case and that there were hot nails to remove The addition of this is nice It was just aluminum spikes on my old ones. Now that I have them, I am excited to use them!.

It's handy to have potato nails to distribute heat evenly
4/5

We used to have thick potato nails, so we hoped their thicker equivalent would be the same. As a result, when I do a baked potato, I use these. Approximately six inches of potato nails now seem to be used per potato, and I use two nails per potato, though I miss the old 8 inch and very thick 12 inch potato nails I once owned. It may be possible to convince them to join Amazon.

We can't imagine life without it
5/5

They can be grilled or baked depending on whether you want them cooked through or not. They are a must if you love baked potatoes but hate guessing if they are cooked through. In order to ensure that an inside-cooked potato is prepared, the nails are inserted into the potato. Replacing my old ones that had somehow eluded me over the years, I bought this. Added a set for my daughter as well. It would be wonderful to give these as a gift to a close friend or family member.
