Selected User Reviews For Kikkoman Manjo Aji Mirin Cooking Rice Seasoning, 60-Ounce
There is nothing wrong with using this mirin on a daily basis. This is a relative measure of value with respect to store brands and sizes. However, you make your own, regardless of what is available to you It is easy to make at home by using decent sake, 3/4 cup granulated sugar, a teaspoon of brown sugar to enhance the flavor and color, and a dash of salt. The recipe can be found online. The recipe my mother used to make when she was growing up as an Asian.
There are only a few of these in this size left! Aji Mirin, also known as Kikkoman Manjo Aji, is used in many Japanese dishes. There are plenty of places that sell small bottles at ripoff prices, but supermarkets tend to carry only very small ones. The following 60-minute presentation will focus on I believe it makes much more sense to buy this size of the "good" stuff for the low price rather than continue to get ripped off at the grocery store. An 8 ounce bottle is well priced and will last for years. I can't recommend this item more highly! The product is perfect in size, price, and quality.
My grocery store has been selling this kind of mirin for years, and I just happened to be browsing Amazon for things that I needed when I found this 60 ounce bottle of Kikkoman mirin, and checked the prices of this bottle and the little one at the grocery store. You get much more value for your money with this.
The "cooking wine seasoning" allows me to cook as if I had mirin, since I am unable to go to the oriental food store to buy plain The product has worked for me quite a bit in the past. I do a lot of oriental food, and I go through a lot of mirin, so a small bottle from the grocery store would just be too expensive. The big bottle provided better value for money than the smaller one. It is a good product, as I have said. This product is good about flavor and texture. I have used it a few times now and am pleased with it. There are no complaints at all, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who needs to use mirin and is in the market for a good product. The product arrived in perfect condition, was packed well, and shipped promptly. I love it!.
This aji mirin is thick and has great flavor I was expecting something different Before I realized that this was actually designed for cooking off, I didn't think twice about it. There is a taste of watered down, mild food. Even though it's a lot for the price, I'll go back to the more concentrated version with the $1000 price tag.
Quite a bit of product is stored in the bottle, so it lasts long! It is definitely a product I will continue to buy, even in the average store that sells smaller bottles you would pay three times as much for this quantity!.
There is nothing like rice vinegar about it. It is sweet, but it tastes sour and it smells sour We put flavor in everything we do. Although the bottle does not have an expiration date, it may be old or old and stale. The smell of vinegar in this one is off, but I didn't think it went bad after a couple of The difference in taste between a local and imported product is astounding. Seeing as it is after the return period allowed by Amazon, I am letting it go.
This is the brand of Mirin I've used for years, and the price at Amazon is significantly lower than in any Asian supermarket. Not that great for someone who rarely uses the things, but it is an excellent deal for users who use them routinely.
