The sodium content of Joe's Kansas City BBQ Sauce is 230 mg per serving (2 Tbsp). I compared it to three other barbecue sauces I own, all of which are for a 2-tbsp serving. The lowest dose is 140 milligrams. 210 mg and 490 mg are the other two. The 140mg version (Portland bbq sauce, handcrafted by Portlandia foods) is also available on Amazon. ) It was just as good as Joe's KC bbq, in my opinion.
It has a smoky flavor rather than a sweet one.
There are no ingredients in the ingredients list that appear to contain gluten or wheat of any kind.
Might be. Joe's Kansas City BBQ and Oklahoma Joe's were the same company until 1997, when the Oklahoma location closed, leaving only the Kansas City locations. The restaurants in Kansas City officially changed their name from Oklahoma Joe's to Joe's Kansas City in 20014. With that said, I don't believe you're referring to a different Oklahoma Joe's that has since opened. One thing is certain, at least in my opinion: Joe's Kansas City BBQ is absolutely delicious!

This isn't a bad BBQ sauce, but it's not great either. However, in my/my wife's opinion, it tastes similar to the mass-produced version. I've recently become interested in BBQ and have experimented with dozens of different flavor profiles and variations thereof. My wife adores KC-style barbecue, and I enjoy it as well. I've discovered a rub/added ingredient combination that gives us exactly what we want, and we've been looking for a sauce to go with it. I remembered Joe's from my childhood when I lived in Kansas City, so I had high hopes for this sauce. However, something must have been lost in the bottling/preservation process because it isn't that good. It should also be fantastic value for money. Overall, three stars: It's a decent sauce, but it's way overpriced when compared to the mass-market brand, which tastes identical to us. Our investigation is still going on.
I placed my order based on the Nutrition Facts on the bottle. based on the photo they've posted 45 milligrams of sodium per 2 liters of water My bottles arrived, and according to the label, each 2T contains 210mg sodium. Joe's BBQ Sauce isn't cheap, but they do say there aren't any returns!.
Despite the fact that there are literally dozens of competitors, this sauce is by far my favorite. Exceptionally well-balanced, smoky, not overly sweet, and with a pleasant tanginess - it's pure bliss This sauce is one of my favorites. Pork and chicken are both good candidates. Steamed okra is another dish where it's used. That being said, it would still be delicious if I ate it on wood chips!!.
Vinegar-based BBQ sauce does not appeal to my family. As a result, I spend a lot of time experimenting with different sauces in order to find ones that are tasty without the vinegar flavor. That's exactly what this one does! Ribs, brisket, pork chops, and tri-tip have all been served with it. All of the tip steaks were delicious! Use it as a dipping sauce or on the grill.
We've tried a lot of sauces from a lot of different places. Joe's is easy to remember among such a long list of barbecue companies. It's the best! We've had barbecue at Joe's in Kansas City and haven't found anything better anywhere, including Memphis, Austin, and a number of other cities.
This bbq sauce is one of my favorites. I've had to travel to Kansas City twice for work, and I've developed a taste for their tomato-based sauces. I'm from South Carolina, and while I'll always prefer a vinegar-based sauce on my pulled pork, this is the way to go for everything else. Joe's is one of my favorites because it has a hint of spice (but not too much) while still retaining the sweet and smoky flavor that KC is known for. I was relieved to discover that I could buy this on Amazon.
There is no such thing as the "best" barbecue sauce. Despite the fact that there are numerous "worst" - Because it all boils down to personal taste. If you enjoy KC-style barbecue, you must try this sauce: Undertones of traditional BBQ sauce with a tang of vinegar Other than scrambled eggs, I try to think of other ways to eat it. If you can't make it to Kansas City to eat at Joe's, this is a good second-best option.
It is a little expensive, but well worth it. I thought it was fantastic. I've never made a BBQ sandwich before, and there aren't any that come close to being edible where I live. The sandwiches I made were extremely tasty. This review has piqued my interest, and I'm looking forward to reading more.
