Questions & Answers

When this is received, how far away is the expiration / best-by date?

I ordered a pack a few months ago, and it's due to expire on August 8, 2021.

I'm not a fan of sauces with a smoky flavor. Is there a flavor to this smoke?

That's not the case. It has a vinegary taste to it.

Are these packaged in a manufacturer's box or are they loose in an Amazon box?

Mine arrived in a box with a bag loose inside. One of the lids was cracked and shattered, but Amazon quickly replaced it.

Is it necessary to keep Heinz bbq sauces refrigerated once they've been opened?

On the bottle, there should be an answer. I keep mine in the refrigerator all of the time.

This product should not be used in the bathtub
5/5

This is something my wife uses on literally everything. She loves it so much that it's taken the place of ketchup, sriracha, and even salt in her cooking; after all, who puts BBQ sauce on Chinese food? And who the hell buys a case of BBQ sauce? In any case, it has a smooth, sweet flavor that complements grilling. Filling a tub and submerging yourself in it is not a good idea. Just don't believe me.

It's astonishment-inspiring
5/5

This Carolina Style Tangy Vinegar Barbecue Sauce is one of the most underappreciated sauces on the market. I bought my first bottle at a local grocery store because it was on sale and I was in desperate need of sauce during a week when money was tight. I wasn't expecting much, but since I like a good vinegar heavy sauce on my pork, I figured I'd take a chance since this one didn't have a bunch of unnatural garbage in the ingredient list, and I was honestly surprised Heinz could make something so tasty. Their ketchup is good, but it's just ketchup. I'm a snob when it comes to barbecue sauce. All of the big barbecue sauce brands that everyone seems to love don't impress me in the least. When the first bottle ran out, I was a little concerned because it stood out so much from the rest. Never before have I purchased a case of sauce. I'm down to my last few bottles now, and I'll be placing another order soon. What an amazing deal! This is something that my entire family enjoys. even if they don't like barbecue sauce (as much as they used to). Heinz hit the nail on the head with this one.

Pulled Pork BBQ Sauce is my one-and-only recipe
5/5

BBQ sauces are probably a personal preference for most people, but I make pulled pork whenever pork shoulder is on sale at the supermarket - I give away the majority of it to my family and friends. I've also experimented with a variety of sauces. This is without a doubt the winner. It's not too watery, sweet, smoky, or tangy (thanks to the vinegar) - it's just right. It's a great match for pork. I can't always find it in the supermarket, but I'm willing to buy six bottles if I can. Because one pork shoulder requires two full bottles, I'll need two full bottles. Plus, this is comparable to my market's sale price (per bottle).

There's no HFCS and it's vegan
5/5

This barbecue sauce is fantastic! It's not only sweet and tangy to perfection, but it's also vegan and free of high fructose corn syrup (as opposed to Sweet Baby Ray's, which has HFCS as the first ingredient). This is something I buy on a regular basis to flavor soy protein (TVP), seitan, barbecued tofu, and green jackfruit BBQ. I've also used it as a topping for vegan pizza, and it's delicious!.

Excellent in every way! It goes well with just about anything, but it's particularly good with chicken
5/5

Pork, turkey, and baked potatoes It's thick and sweet, and it's delicious. It's delicious straight from the bottle, but thinned with water makes it go further and easier to use without losing flavor. However, vinegar can also be used to thin some dishes. My second favorite sauce is this one. This is my second favorite barbecue sauce after tasting it side by side with a friend at a supermarket. I'm not sure why so many people like sweet baby rays. It's at the bottom of my priority list. I've purchased dozens of bottles of Heinz Original Sweet and Thick, and I intend to continue to do so.

I've finally tracked down the flavor of my childhood BBQ sauce
5/5

I may have tried every BBQ sauce in every flavor combination on the market in search of that nostalgic taste from my childhood, when BBQ sauce was first popular (this is the 1950s, folks). It's the Heinz Original. flavorful, with a thick consistency. I was worried about having to order six at a time, but the batch I got on July 30, 2020 isn't due to expire until October 20, 2021. Before then, it'll have vanished.

No corn syrup, which is a plus! The classic Heinz is our favorite, but after months of eating it, we were sick of it
4/5

My husband really wanted the Texas, but it's sold out, and it's way too strong for the kids. We decided to try these because they were on sale for around $2 per bottle. That's pretty good! We have three bottles out of a total of six bottles. 5 left. The classic is best, but this is a good substitute; it has a little kick to it, but the kids don't seem to mind. We only eat Heinz BBQ because it does not contain high fructose corn syrup, which other brands do!.

I like this product and was glad to see it available on Amazon for a reasonable price, but Amazon disappointed me by sending me six bottles of product that were about to expire in the next three months
3/5

I bought a product six months ago that had an expiration date of 2020. These were, of course, returned to the sender. Amazon - Please consider enacting a policy requiring food products to have an expiration date that is further out.
