1 1/4" in diameter This is the pump that I purchase: Premium Life 1 Gallon Bottle Dispensing Pump Standard Heavy-duty construction. On Amazon
It's been a long time since we last had it, but it's still delicious! In BBQ competitions, this sauce is a must-have.
You don't need to keep it refrigerated unless you plan to eat it within the next month. Keep it in the fridge if you aren't going to use it up right away. Make sure to warm the sauce before using it, as the professionals do.
I won't list the ingredients because you can look them up on the internet. This sauce, I'll tell you, can be used on any cut of chicken or pork (ribs) by itself. For their ribs, many contest cooks combine this with Blues Hog original. The original Blues Hog isn't suitable for direct use. It needs to be blended together. Best wishes to you.

It's incredibly delicious! It'd be delicious as a dipping sauce for a variety of foods. No, it's not my favorite pulled pork sauce, but it's quite tasty. It's sweet and sour, and it's a little sweeter than I anticipated. Given the sugar content of the other two sauces they sell (both of which are extremely sweet), I should have known. Don't get me wrong: there's a strong vinegar flavor, as well as the distinct "Blues Hog" spice (some say mace), but there's also a lingering sweetness. I had hoped for a little more vinegar and less sweetness, but that'll be easy to change. Medium is the most accurate description of the heat level. There is some heat, but not nearly as much as I would like. It's a little mild for my tastes, but that's fine because I can divide it into hot and mild bottles for my visitors. If you can get a gallon on sale, it's well worth trying. It won't make you sick, and if you like "Q," you'll finish it. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> I smoked a pork shoulder and mixed it with equal parts cider vinegar and red pepper flake sauce (I'm used to vinegar and red pepper flake sauce for pulled pork, but I have to admit, the Tennessee Red's touch of sweetness made it even better). Sorry, but I'm not a mustard fan). It makes fantastic pulled pork, that's all I have to say. I like to mix Champions' Blend with homemade Gates in a 50/50 ratio for drizzling on the sandwich (recipe for Gates can be found online). These Blues Hog sauces are also much more cost effective when used as a base.
There isn't much of a flavor boost. Chicken and pork were used as test subjects. After that, I poured it down the drain and discarded it.
This is the 'hawg wash' that we were looking for. We used to be able to buy a particular brand, but it is no longer available. We decided to give it a shot because it appeared to be a good match. We used this to wash baby back ribs that we grilled on the grill. It tasted fantastic. This is going to be our new go-to restaurant. I gave it five stars for thickness, but the washes aren't as thick as the barbecue sauces.
This (along with Blues Hog Original) is the sauce you should keep on hand at all times. It's a fantastic sauce on its own, but it also serves as a blank canvas for you to customize. You certainly have the option of making your own sauce. But, if you're anything like me, with kids and a hectic schedule, just buy this and the Original and thank me later.
We used to get pulled pork BBQ from a local joint when we went to see my grandparents in Tennessee. In Milan, Tennessee, there is a place called "Bob's BBQ. " The sauce was thin and peppery, from what I recall. Unlike regular BBQ sauce, this one is unique. I'd been looking for a replacement to help me relive my childhood, and I'd finally found it. It's not an exact match, but it's close enough that I'll be ordering more. You could experiment with adding more vinegar and pepper to make it a little more interesting.
My husband prefers tangy BBQ sauces that aren't sweet at all, while I prefer sweet BBQ sauces. This is slightly sweet and slightly tangy, but neither is overpowering. It has a slight spiciness to it as well. It's quite thin in comparison to a lot of other sauces that we enjoy, but it's delicious!.
I'm sure the product is fine, but when I wiped down the bottle and noticed the lid was loose, I realized it had leaked a small amount inside the box. I took off the lid and examined the safety seal; it appeared to be in good working order, so it was most likely a packaging error.
The "sauce" is then packaged in a miniature mason jar, from which it literally pours out like a drink. Taste was ok, but it would have been better if it wasn't so liquidy that it was difficult to keep on your tongue or in your food.
