The sauce market is crowded with many good choices. If you are using garlic sauce specifically, it might be Iron Chef garlic sauce. Hoison sauce is very tasty, so you might add some minced garlic to the sauce if you prefer.

There is a new challenge I want to take on. This is the worst package you will ever receive This is where we are at. This is a win for me. Having not tried the sauce, I cannot comment on it. The box now tempted her to grab a lick.
We received Lee Kum Kee Hoisin sauce in what appears to be the correct amount, however it appears to be an old bottle! You won't find a plastic cover over the screw-on lid, and there is no paper liner under the flip-top. Hoisin sauce was spilled into the shipping box and onto the outside of the bottle because the lid was loose and allowing the sauce to leak out. This mess is out of control! As we see it, another purchaser had the same/similar experience, so we hope these problems can be resolved. As a result, what we received is of no use to us, as we don't trust the sauce to be safe for consumption. It was very good when we tried it in smaller bottles - we've had it before in smaller bottles. The reason for ordering it was because of that. The refund that we received from Amazon was a blessing in this case. As a result, we have I ordered the same sauce as before, which comes in the 36 oz bottle, and I hope to get a new bottle soon.
The Hoisin sauce you are served is not the same as those you are served. While I am unsure of the exact differences, this tastes like the hoisin I see in Vietnamese restaurants when ordering It took me a few brands to find the one that worked for me. Toasting the bread and adding slices of sharp white cheddar onto both buns and adding mushrooms in the middle helped bring it all together.

Besides being an excellent topping for egg rolls, it is also an excellent dipping sauce for Wontons. It is so reasonable in price as well! This product is highly recommended.
