I think they are pretty similar. It is the consistency of molasses and is sweet in taste. There is no reason not to like this dish if it doesn't compare to unagi sauce. If you grill salmon, try it with this sauce I love it!

If you like soy sauce and are looking for something super sweet but delicious, try this recipe.
There is no better tasting stuff than this. We became aware of this product after we tried it in a Hellofresh recipe. We cannot find it locally so it's nice that we can buy it online. Only regret is that it's expensive to purchase online.
Amazon was the only place where we could find it locally we couldn't find it in any local stores. In a great deal of Asian-inspired cuisines, it is used Inspires dishes but is used mainly for preparing Soy-based dishes Using the Blue Apron website, you can make Glazed Meatballs. Even though it is a little pricey for the size of the bottle, since we cannot find it at our local store, it is still worth the cost. You can make a glaze in the oven rather than reducing down soy sauce and reducing it using reduced soy sauce.
My husband got these as a stocking stuffer. They turned out to be a big hit with the entire family. Our favorite ways to use it are to glaze steamed veggies, substitute it for the flavor packet when we make instant noodles, and drizzle it on plain white rice. It's okay to drink it all the way from the bottle, so long as you don't guzzle it quite right away. The newest staple of our pantry.
Our family loves this stuff on chicken when combined with orange marmalade and vinegar. A Blue Apron recipe was a big hit that we wished to recreate, but the recipe is not readily available to buy locally. The chicken glaze might be a little expensive, but I wouldn't want to lose the ability to make it.
It is a very tasty sauce and it is great on meat, fish, poultry, and It is a great product, but the price is too high for such a small bottle. I gave it 4 stars, but the bottle is so small for the cost.
There's nothing I enjoy more than this stuff. Then it went on everything I ate. Now it goes on everything I eat. The candy is as sweet and tasty as advertised, and as sticky as well. I would consider this condiment to be among the best I give you a big thumbs up.
