All of our friends including me, who have also been to Japan, were introduced to a salad called Somen by our friend. With carrots and possibly green onions, the salad consisted of lettuce, noodles, ham, soy sauce, sesame seeds, carrots, and possibly green onions. It was her suggestion that I get my noodles on Amazon, so I did just that. I am grateful for this new and healthy.
The brand I usually buy is not made at this time, so I tried these noodles in its place. I am used to firm, slightly chewy Asian noodles, but these are not the same. The 3 min cooking time suited me perfectly, and the potatoes turned out beautifully Even with less time, the food was not cooked through. If you're in the mood for soft noodles, however, they are a good deal. Good packaging makes them easy to transport.
My taste for noodles is generally good, but I did not like them. These turned out to be sticky and mushy in texture. There was nothing I could find to like about the taste.

However, the service was extremely difficult to get. There's a lot of starch in these, so rinsing them multiple times will help loosen the starch. They cook very quickly, but make sure you rinse as thoroughly as you can, as they are very starchy. It is otherwise a good deal for the price.
