This pasta is between 1/2" and 3/4" wide dry, according to the measurements I just took. There are approximately 1. If my memory serves me correctly, it should be about 5" wide after it's been cooked. This pasta is a personal favorite of mine - It tastes amazing! I'm going to have to cook it for a lot longer than the recipe suggests. Cheers!

I believe it was simply recounting the history of this particular pasta shape. The pasta does not contain any mushrooms. It is a high-quality pasta that can withstand "heavy" sauces such as game sauces.
Selected User Reviews For Garofalo Papardelle Nido Pasta, 16-Ounce (Pack of 4)
Excellent pasta, though significantly more expensive than the respectable domestic products found in most US supermarkets. br>br>As for the debate among these reviews about whether the suggested 8-minute cooking time is adequate, in my experience, the 8-minute suggestion is "just right," though this pasta can probably tolerate the overcooking. Some reviewers advocated for cooking. If overcooked, the majority of lower-quality pasta will become mushy or flaky. cooked, as appears to be the case at far too many so-called "healthy" restaurants. Italian restaurants can be found all over the United States, as well as in many American homes. br>br>This pasta is firm (in my experience) at 8 minutes. , toothsome and "al dente") with no hint of rawness This is the temperature or doneness at which it should be drained, tossed with your already prepared sauce, cooked for another 30 to 40 seconds in that sauce, and then served. br>br>This isn't pasta for kids (at least not on my budget), but it is excellent high-quality pasta for adults who want the best, and it should be nutritionally equivalent to any supermarket pasta. Its better taste, in my opinion, is heavily influenced by the way it feels in the mouth (i. e. When prepared properly, it retains its firmness and texture. I'm going to stick to my 8-minute time limit.
Garofalo noodles are truly excellent, and I'm glad I discovered them on Amazon. Pappardelle is one of my favorite pasta shapes for certain sauces, but it's hard to come by, even in other brands. The Garofalo brand is my favorite because it cooks up perfectly and has a great flavor. The only drawback is that the instructions state that they should be cooked for 8 minutes, but they are still raw after that time. I gave them 12 minutes, which was just right for them - al dente without being soggy in the least. I strongly advise you to put them to the test for eight minutes and see what you come up with.
Pasta from Italy is excellent. I was going on a "guys weekend," and I had agreed to make a batch of my famous "gravy and meatballs" for my fishing buddies, and I wanted to have a special pasta prepared for the meal. I usually make my own fresh pasta, but due to time constraints, I couldn't, so I looked for an alternative on Amazon. br>This product is fantastic. Because it takes a little longer to fully cook without overcooking, taste test several times after about 8 - 10 minutes. Although it takes 9 minutes to bring to a rapid boil, the end result is fantastic. The "gravy" evenly coats the pasta, absorbing just enough to make a difference. The texture is ideal, as it is firm but supple at the same time. I'm glad I ordered four bags because I'll be able to make this meal for my grown children soon enough.
On the 8th of November, Amazon charged 29 for this, but a few weeks later, Amazon was charging 26. 99 This is an exorbitant price increase. The noodles are good, but they aren't egg noodles, which I didn't realize when I bought them, so I can't give them the same high rating as the other reviewers. Plus, 27 dollars is an absurdly high price for 4 pounds of noodles.
It's very tasty. I discovered that I needed to cook it for a little longer than the package suggested - a lot of time It's best if you give yourself some extra time to cook. I would have served crunchy pasta if I had followed the package directions. This pasta has an incredible flavor. No, not every pasta has the same flavor! There's no way to go wrong with this pasta - It can withstand even the thickest bolanaisa sauce and served as an excellent base for chicken Marsala. Have fun and be inventive!.
LOVE LOVE THIS PASTAbr>you get 2 big (16 ounce) bags and the pasta is in separate little balls so you can cook a couple for yourself or enough for a family's meal these are flat thick noodle that will absorb your sauce and you can eat these with just oil or a thick sauce and the info says to cook them for so many minutes I cooked them for 2 or 3 minutes longer and they came out exactly like I eat mine I am very happy I found these and they are not cheap you.
I'm not going to say anything about Garofalo's other pastas. Garofalo Pappardelle is a fantastic actor. Not to disparage Garofalo's other pastas, but the Pappadelle is out of this world when it comes to the generously wide width, firm Al dente texture, and sauce clingability. The claims that it is undercooked when cooked according to the package instructions are, in my opinion, unfounded. I don't mean to imply that the comments are incorrect; rather, if you've been cooking pasta for any length of time, you'll know that you constantly taste the product starting about 1 minute before, at, and if necessary past the suggested time in minute increments until you reach your own preferred bullseye cooking time.
Last week, I made it with a fantastic pasta sauce, and it was just as delicious as I had hoped. If you, like me, can't find this type of pasta in your local supermarket, I strongly advise you to make it. I've always enjoyed Garofalo's other pastas, and this one did not disappoint.
