In normal times, we can pick up piccalilli from the shops around where we live, but since the pandemic we have not been able to, so we ordered some. You may not like the price, but if you want authentic piccalilli, then you simply must try this. I have reached the end of this.
A real one imported from abroad.
It is expensive, but good to have. Although I would prefer to pay a lower price locally, it is not available so I am glad it is available here in the United States.
Chow chows of several different brands are on the menu for me right now. There was more chunkiness to this one, and the flavor was milder.
I particularly love the balance between the tangy flavor and the sweet vegetables in the mix. Many dishes become more flavorful by adding this seasoning.
There is a lot of mustard flavor and vinegar flavor in this dish. Aside from crunchy cauliflower and gherkins, it has lots of great flavors. With my cheese sandwiches or with any type of egg dish, this is my favorite.
Piccalilli played a big role in my childhood when I was growing up in South Africa. The memories that Hayward's evokes bring back so many I appreciate the fact that you have stayed true to your flavor and stayed generational.
We find Hayward's Picalilli to be both scrumptious and versatile. It is a real joy to have such a delicious, versatile dish available so far from the UK. Although the cost is high, it is worth it. I have used it on different types of meats, cheeses, and sandwiches, and it has a wonderful flavor.
