Selected User Reviews For Cornichons in White Wine Vinegar - 12.3 oz (12.35 ounce)
At the Melting Pot, my wife and I tried cornichons for the first time and fell in love with them. We'd never tasted anything quite like it: tart, salty, and delicious. In an attempt to recreate the involuntary facial wince of flavor, I tried several different brands, but none of them were quite as effective. These are the ones. These are without a doubt the strongest and best cornichons I've ever tasted. That's a word of caution for the fearful, but it's also my strongest recommendation.
The bottle was not wrapped in bubble wrap, and the top was missing, allowing the contents to spill out! In addition, there is no return policy. Be wary of the buyer!.
I really like the piquante version of the same brand.
The white wine vinegar gives it a nice bite that isn't overpowering. The cornichon has a nice texture to it as well.
I was disappointed that I had to pay for shipping because the pickles are excellent. I thought I had free shipping, but I didn't, so they cost $10 in total. 00 isn't worth it at all.
They are tart, not overly so, but more so than ordinary cornichons. They go well with meats and cheese.
This purchase has brought me great joy.
