I could smell the scent of thyme from a mile away and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the dried herb from this brand. I have found it excellent for my seasoning needs, and it has worked well in all of my cooking and marinate preparations.
The product from Eat Well Premium Food was fresh, high-quality, and was packed tightly to the brim of the 9oz container, even though this thyme was different from French thyme in flavor. There is a subtle difference in scent and flavor between this thyme and French thyme, as it is Mediterranean thyme harvested from Turkey. However, it didn't seem to change a recipe that calls for the herb unless the herb is the main element of the dish. The difference is that this thyme has a more subtle and perhaps pine like fragrance and a sharper, citrus-like -) / fragrance and softer balance of full flavors. To make this comparison, I have both types of thyme on hand at the time of making this review. There's no doubt they are both thyme, but unless you use it a lot and/or have both on hand for comparison, it might be difficult to tell.
Often, I use Thyme in my cooking and get tired of paying $4-$5 for a small package The small jar went for $5, which seemed to be a very good price for what appeared to be high-quality.
A great deal for such a great price! The ingredients in this are fresh because I'm refilling the tiny grocery store bottle and keeping it in the freezer. Thank you for this purchase. I am very pleased with it. This size is worth the money if you cook a lot and have freezer space if you purchased your most used spices/herbs.
The delivery of my Thyme made me very happy. After opening the container, I immediately noticed a pleasant fragrance and I could tell it was almost filled to the top. For myself and a friend I plan to create a customized alcohol bottle. I will still be able to use myself quite a bit. I am very happy with this item, and will be ordering it again in the future. Upon receiving it, I was very pleased with the packaging.
There was no way I could have anticipated how large this container would It seems that I will have ample supply of thyme for life. I love it!.
This is a great addition to my herb and spice cabinet, which I have been trying to build. I love the way this container fits in my spice cabinet and is really easy to use. My only concern is that the plastic of the container is flimsy and the small hole on the lid of the dispenser does not properly release the herbs, but overall, I can live with that. Many of my favorite dishes include it because it has such a delicious flavor. For my favorite way to use this, I add it to olive oil for bread, to roast chicken or turkey, to take care of bread, and to bake potatoes. There is no doubt that it is such a good value for money that you should buy it immediately!.
The latest update The bottle actually contains a lot of product for its price, as it is filled all the way to the top. Aromatic scents also make the atmosphere problem is there are some twigs in the mix that you have to separate before using the product. I had to remove about 3 TBSP of them from all the pictures you see. You will need to add time to your preparation time for this.
