Mine was genuine, but I had purchased it quite some time ago. It was a fantastic deal on a fantastic item.

When I unscrewed the cap with care (which you must do to remove the security seal inside), I discovered that the seal was already open in two places (i. e. , the seal's edges were not glued down to the bottle all the way around as they should be). One of the gaps measured about an inch in length - It's not just a minuscule chasm. Because returning a small item like this isn't worth it, I have two options: risk the contents being tampered with (unlikely, I know), or just throw it out. I buy a lot of spices, and this isn't usually an issue with other brands - However, this is the second time I've had this problem with Frontier brand spice jars purchased on Amazon. I purchased two jars of Frontier spices, according to my records. Tarragon and Thyme - In September 2015, Amazon released it. In that case, the Tarragon's seal was ambiguous (it was unclear whether it was intact), and the Thyme's seal was almost completely unglued. br>br>Obviously, there is a benefit to purchasing products at a grocery store - Before purchasing, inspect the seal. In any case, I'm not sure I'll buy this brand of spice again. Even if the risk is minor, it is not worth it. br>br>Perhaps I'm being a tad too picky. Do you want to be picky? But there's a reason why those seals are on bottles in the first place. You can assume that if you don't hear from me again, it's because I ate the spice and died. (I'm only joking. ) I hope.
The leaves, however, are a little too large and woody. They're even a little brown, as if they've been around for a long time. I'm not sure I'd buy this brand again; if I can find it, I'd go with fresh or a more well-known brand like Spice Islands or McCormicks. I bought the Frontier brand because the other two brands I mentioned weren't available or were too expensive. br>br>I've bought Frontier products before and liked them, but the Tarragon is too woody and not as fresh.
For a dried herb, this tarragon has a lot of flavor and freshness. This is the best source I've found for tarragon if you like the flavor or want to give it a try for the first time. This book comes highly recommended.
Spices in a jar aren't all created equal. It makes a big difference in how a spice is dried, packaged, and so on. This Tarragon Frontier brand is fantastic! I could smell the wonderful aroma of "fresh" tarragon (in its dried state, of course) the moment I removed the seal from the wonderful glass jar. This is some of the best tarragon I've ever had, and it's definitely worth the money.
br>br>However, if you have the opportunity, I strongly advise you to grow your own. In Florida, I grew my own and it flourished with little effort. Definitely very cost-effective, and the freshness of the product tastes fantastic. You can always save the extra by drying it out.
It was a little pricey for my tastes, but it does not appear to be widely available in this area.
It was delivered quickly, and the quality was far superior to that of any local store. I'll be back to see what else you have to offer.
None of the characteristics that make tarragon so special. to stay away from:.
