I was disappointed to learn that the expiration date was 10 months after receipt, making this splurge even more of a splurge than I anticipated. I buy almost all of my spices in bulk because I am aware of their short shelf life. Regardless, I was let down.

It's not quite as hot as red pepper flakes, but it's also not quite as mild. It's delicious on pasta, eggs, sauces, casseroles, and other foods, and it gives them just the right kick. This is also available on Amazon for a reasonable price. It is highly recommended.

A beautiful fragrance and a subtle sweet heat. It enhances sauces, and we particularly enjoy blooming it in warm olive oil to begin all red sauces. I strongly suggest it.

This is a tasty dish! I enjoy frying Pierogies in a pan with a pinch of pepper on top. It's also delicious on steak or as a side dish with vegetables.
