Questions & Answers
The only ingredient listed on mine is sumac, but it's salty. It also appears to have been mixed with salt and has the appearance of small crystals.
Thank you for your inquiry! There is no salt or pesticides in our sumac, and it only contains ground sumac berries. Please let us know if there's anything else we can do to assist you. Thanks
Hello! Thank you very much for your inquiry. Glass jars are used to store sumac.
It isn't a shaker bottle, to be sure. Simply sprinkle over food with a spoon.

This is my completely unbiased and blown away review. I ordered this sumac after a Lebanese friend recommended that I try it with salmon. A fantastic recommendation, and I've been looking up sumac recipes ever since to see what I can do with it - I layered it on top of grilled tomatoes and flatbread - AMAZING. I created a baba ghanoush with grilled sweet potatoes - FANTASTIC. Use it on melons if you want to be extra creative. AWESOME. It was combined with cottage cheese. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE? br>br>I'm obsessed in general. I don't usually write reviews, and I don't trust people who say they're writing one for the first time. But you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, This is well worth the effort. It's not something you should buy. in order for me to be able to purchase everything.
Sorry for the disappointment,br>I was extremely dissatisfied. Although I have yet to open my jar, it is clear that this is a coarse (not completely ground) blend. Maybe the heavier unground bits were at the bottom of the bag. It's not only inconvenient to grind it in a coffee grinder (for the price, it should be professionally ground), but it's also dangerous to have unground hard bits. Someone who is unfamiliar with sumac may sprinkle it on anything or use it to make imsakhan (let's say they have never made imsakhan but were served it at a friend's house and asked for the recipe), only to break or chip a tooth by biting into the hard bits. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it does not appear to have been mixed with salt (which is a plus) and the color appears to be correct, so it could be edible. My mother advised using a sieve to remove any hard, unground bits. Penzeys is next on my list to try.
Finally, I've discovered the best product available!.
Fresh and delectable, it's ideal for a variety of dishes.
Definitely fantastic! The flavor is fantastic. The only drawback is the small size/quantity for the price; there should have been more product for the price, but I will order again.
My first encounter with sumac, a plant I had never encountered before. It's being put to a variety of uses. It's all good.
Sumac that is both delicious and authentic. It has a flavor similar to that of my grandmother's. Thank you so much, Mai, for the beautiful color and delicious flavor.
Thanks!.
